Although I am tempted to say I could play QB for the Broncos, Plummer looks like his non-turnover self.

I am glad to see him do well but geez I hate Shannon Sharpe.

Now he would never be that good here and it is not all him but I think part of it is that he isn't their golden boy, he is the produce or sit boy.

Now to endure the hidden and not so hidden pot shots at AZ coaching and all.... I like Blake better anyway so whatever.

BTW why do my best fantasy players always pull up lame on MNF..

Lets hope Janikowski has a horrible kicking day I am now 16 points ahead with the only player who can beat me being mr chemical enhanced dater guy.

Plummer looks like a hall of famer tonight so far. I think Blake has looked very good overall this year. So its win, win for us than.

Denver and the Chiefs are the teams to beat in the AFC...and they play each other twice! Good for Jake...I still think Blake is a better QB for the Cards at this point..but Jake is a great fit in the Broncos system...

I could have hit those receivers, sans Sharpe. That one may have been an easy pass too, but I didn't see it happen...I was in class.

Thus far, he's done his job and made EASY throws. Not all receivers will be that wide open.

I think I will go to the Chiefs Broncos game that would be a good one to go to.

It's gonna be a score board festival..... or 3-0 like games you think will be a shootout usually turn out.

P.S. My Jake Plummer autographed football is not begining to appreciate slowly.... maybe if he does win the Superbowl I can sell it on ebay.

the scary thing is with the threat that Portis is, and with as good as Denver O-Line is - i fear Jake is going to have easy throws all season. He hasn't looked this good since . . . well . . . ever. He's just got so much talent around him it's sick.

Well that ... and they haven't played a team with a good defense as of yet!

Jake's on fire-

I knew he would go there and light it up, he has the talent, I always believed in him, but I like Blake too and think he is good for this team with his veteran experience. Go Jake, I'll always cheer for you!!

I thought his 1st pas to Sharpe was kinda ugly, and he was lucky he didnt have to throw it more than 5 yrds. But he seems to be playing well.

Its all about fitting into a system...he's in a good place now. Hey, Jake took us to the playoffs, and a win (although he took us to hells depths, too) and I'll always root for the guy to succeed.

I proudly yelled GO JAKE when he ran tonight.

I like that Denver isn't trying to make him a pocket passer like we tried to do, and are allowing him to just move around. He looks much more comfortable there. The "pocket passer" experiment here failed miserably.

Blake fits our system much better, so it was a win-win.

I was at the game and Jake kicked ass. Hats off to him. It helps to have a threat like Portis is though.

What I thought was interesting is that during his interview, he said the Broncos trainers and Shanahan wanted him to act like he had a concussion last weekend. Jake said he didn't know how to fake something like that. Well, if he just remembered some of the dumb plays he did in AZ he would get that look on his face like he had a concussion. You see Jake, it's all in the presentation.

He played well

his passes had zip and he was accurate. He threw deep off his back foot for a TD. His scrambling was very effective.Props where they are due. However, he is a donkey now not a Cardinal. Let's move on.

I agree that we need to bury this. But one last parting shot.......Everything flies further in mile high. I wish the best to Jake and I am excited about what Blake brings to our table.

This is what I expect of Jake. He will look great at times, and he will look awful at other times. He is benifiting from a strong supporting cast in Denver. Good for him. I still think we are better off without him.

I'm more surprised by the total collapse of Oakland. We all knew they were old, but I didn't expect them to become so slow so soon. From their performance last night, it's gonna be a long year for them.

Go Cards!!!

I'll give Jake Plummer credit. He did scramble out of some pressure situations. That was nice. But otherwise he didn't do anything almost any NFL quarterback and a good number of backups couldn't have done. The Bronco's success had more to do with their O-line than anything.

I was very much anti Jake the past 4 years but I will say he played an outstanding game Monday night. Having a lights out runner and running game helps him tremendously. They also seem to keep him in the pocket more. If he has a problem my guess it will be an injury type problem. The Broncos really look tough and have an awsome running game. We will get a better idea of how Jake will do if the Bronco's ever get behind and he is forced to pass. With their running game this may not happen.

Keep him in the pocket? They're doing the exact opposite intentionally rolling him out of the pocket, that's why I mention injury concerns if they keep doing it.

he's played better than I thought possible, reality is the Broncos 3 opponents are a combined 1-8 and the only win is Oakland over Cincy. They play Detroit this week, so they are starting out against 4 struggling teams(Detroit has lost 3 of their 4 best CB's now Jake should have receivers running open all day).

The real tests come later when they're in competitive games.

Broncos' Portis, Kennedy questionable for Detroit game

September 24, 2003

DENVER (AP) -- Running back Clinton Portis may not play this weekend against Detroit because of a chest injury and strong safety Kenoy Kennedy is also hobbled by a left ankle sprain.

Broncos coach Mike Shanahan said he would likely hold Portis out of practice Wednesday and wasn't sure if he'd be ready to play against the Lions on Sunday.

Portis suffered a bruised sternum two weeks ago against San Diego and re-injured himself against Oakland on Monday night. He played just two snaps after the second quarter against the Raiders and talked afterward about his ribs popping out of place.

Fullback Mike Anderson expects to play this weekend after a knee injury.

Anderson had his right leg twisted underneath him in the fourth quarter against the Raiders. He and the training staff originally thought the injury was much worse, but he was feeling better after the game and test results Tuesday came back negative.

Anderson was back at practice Wednesday.
