Some reports surfaced that Jets were willing to trade Adams. In next years draft we should consider sending our 1st round pick to the jets for Adams. Hes probably the best safety in the NFL currently and hes still on a rookie deal. We need safety help (among other things) but he is a sure thing that can be the leader of a defense.

Would definitely do that if we finish too far from drafting Grant Delpit.

Gonna take more than just a first though. But I’d love to get him. True leader and competitor.

I feel like Saefty is a need but not the #1 pick type need. Let's see how is available to us in the draft before we think about trading away the #1 pick we have. What is an elite MLB is there? Elite DL? Elite OL?

I'm more concerned about OL and front 7 than safety personally.

Exactly how I feel. We have too many other bigger holes than Safety that need to be filled first.

Only trade for elite (close to elite) OL, WR and DL in that order. Pass on safeties.

Gotta stop trying to hand away draft picks for guys who want to get paid ASAP. We need to build a young team through the draft that will remain cheap, not reinvent the wheel consistently while handing away assets.

The cowboys were offering a kings ransom and it still wasn’t enough.
One 1st round pick and 2 2’s per, Ian Rapoport

Safety is the last position I would be trying to upgrade.
Like swearinger costing us multiple times before we cut him or Budda?

Seahawks even said the LOB’s main piece was Earl.

A playmaking safety is big. Devin McCourty is leading the league in INT’s and flying around everywhere just like Harrison Smith or Kevin Byard.

Minkah Fitzpatrick had 2 INT’s last night. Could go on and on.

Our priorities in the draft (IMO) are...

fast LBs who can cover or rush
Beast DLs

and that’s it. I would use FA money to pick up RT, CB and the rest

If we're really serious about winning a championship, then building the front seven has to be our top priority.

Look at the front seven from the superbowl team:

Calais Campbell
Darnell Dockett
Karlos Dansby
Antonio Smith
Chike Okeafor
Gerald Hayes
Travis LaBoy.

Pretty nasty.

Got to get back to a top ten defense. From there, I think Kilff and Murray can get us over the finish line.

Bert Berry not Okeafor.

I would definitely do this. In fact, I would offer a first and second. Not the most pressing need, but he's a great player and a sure thing. I am absolutely sick and tired of busted draft picks. We can't draft worth a damn. Time to trade away draft picks for known quantities.

I completely disagree with this post. When you have a QB on a rookie deal you do not waste that advantage by utilizing the "draft and develop" philosophy. Get proven NFL players at key positions any that you can including trading lottery tickets (aka draft picks) for them.

I agree, we have a 3 to 4 year window before we have to pay Murray. Lock and load with vets and make a run just like the seahawks did.

Adam's could step in today and be a pro bowl player. We need to grab a other OT and MLB and WR and DT. .
Peterson, Murphy, baker, Adams, alford woud prob ne the best secondary in the nfl.
Jones, hicks, FA, Suggs
Armstead (from 9ers) Peter's, Allen

That's and damn good lineup
