They were talking about him vs Mariotta this morning on Mike and Mike. EVeryone had the same agreements, he's a better QB because he plays better from the pocket, Mariotta might not translate to the NFL because if he runs, he'll get hurt like all the other running QB's do.
That said, they all said the same thing, the overwhelming concern on Winston is maturity and off the field issues. The NFL teams are all going to spend countless hours poring over the details of his sexual assault allegations to decide whether they want to use a high pick.
Basically the same old stuff, without the rape allegation he's just an immature kid who tends to get overweight, but outside of some bad INT's is just too good not to take. But when you factor in the rape allegations, it is a whole other scale of decision making on him.

Not in a million years. This guy has ZERO leadership qualities, and while you can tolerate that at some other positions, it's an absolute deal breaker at QB. One of Kraperpick's many faults.

What are you basing that statement on? I have heard nothing but the opposite. He's extremely confident and the players love playing for/with him.

As much as guys get away with things in the NFL, it isn't nearly as easy as it is at college, if the college and town is willing to shield the player. This kid (and the whole team) could probably go on a killing spree and the police down there would bungle the evidence to free them. He will be suspended and kicked out of the league unless he changes very quickly. PASS!

I agree with his statement.
And base it on the numerous issues Winston has had at Florida state, and his press conferences and statements made.
A leader is not a clown, who cannot realize where he is and what he is doing.
I don't want the guy anywhere near the Cardinals, and if he were my QB on my team I wouldn't feel the need to follow his lead......because I feel he would lead me off a cliff.

He's a pocket passer but he does have a tendency this year to make early mistakes.
He's going to be very polarizing, if you read news stories there are multiple opinions out there from best pure passer in several years, to he's lucky he's not in jail, there is very little middle ground with him.

I think Winston is a different beast. I never understood the hype around Russel, but I see it with Winston. That kid is a natural, doesn't throw a lot of picks and by all accounts from his teammates, he's a leader on the field.
off the field is MUCH different story.
I've been one to parade around on a high horse in regards to Washington, but man... I think this guy, from a pure talent standpoint, is one of the sure fire studs at the position.

Like that former Cardinal QB who was in Denver one year talking about how much better the offseason workout program was in Denver than it had been in Arizona. And then one of the reporters, who clearly knew the answer, asked him exactly how many offseason workout programs he'd attended while a cardinal, and he sheepishly admitted he'd never actually attended any, but he'd heard they weren't good.
