I feel the same way I did when Bowles took the Jets over the Falcons... he chose the wrong team.

Still wish him luck though

Titans might have been a better career move. Hope he does well,...hope he does real well and keeps dallas out of the playoffs for years.

Cards are likely to get a DC who never called plays or who called plays for one year. Be careful what you wish for season 27625. Fingers crossed.

I’m worried too, we might even hire a DC rookie switching to a 4-3 which will make our D suck for 2-3 years until things start clicking again.

If Bettcher was released I’m sure Wilks already has someone lined up.

SK and MB most likely asked who would Wilks choose as OC and DC during the interview and be ok with it.

Happy to see Bettch get a good gig. If he can handle the pressure of the NY fans and media and show adaptability (the Giants have traditionally been a 43) and stronger half-time adjustments, then he will be worthy of a HC gig when the time is right. The other big if in going to the Giants is the discord and dysfunction on that team. There are several head cases on that defense, particularly in their secondary (Jenoris Jenkins, Eli Apple in particular). if it keeps blowing up, he will likely wish he chose the Titans instead.

So where are the people that said he wouldn't get another job? He wasn't on the market for long.

Oh and he's fat....:biglaugh:
Probably hanging out with the people that had to have Horton as head coach.

Where is Horton btw? I didn't hear him in any HC interview talk. Probably tearing it up as a great DC somewhere right?

I'm not a Bettcher fan. I felt he put in a game plan and stuck to it no matter what was going on. IMO he never made adjustments. I don't see him as a leader.
