There is no way the Cardinals end up with Alexander or James.

1. Alexander wants to be in the spotlight. He's been semi-unhappy in Seattle for several years, mainly because he hasn't got a ton of attention until this season. Comming to the Cardinals a year after finally getting noticed makes no sense.

2. When was the last time the Cardinals picked up one of the biggest name FAs available? Add to that Greens FA policy of "picking up role players that fit the system" and that pretty much eliminates James. I don't think teams will be going crazy over James, which may lead him to consider AZ, but it just seems to far fetched.

Like the majority of Cardinal fans, I want to see that Oline get shored up before anything else. Put together a good Oline with some depth and the running game will fall into place. I would be pretty excited if Lendale White ended up on the Cardinals. The best thing about the Green era is the drafts . We havn't had any head scratchers in the last two years so at least we have the draft to look forward to.

I wish I could find an article that I posted last year when the Edgerrin James bashing popped up last year.

This characterization of him being a thug and a jerk is so wrong.

James comes from and still lives in a crop picking town called Immokalee, Florida. All he does there is support half the towns kids. He takes homeless people off the street and feeds and houses them. He spends his money on the disadavantaged that he will not ignore. James is not a rocket scientist but he is so far from being a thug. This perception is entirely incorrect. He built a workout facility in his rundown hometown which is open 24 hours a day to kids and anyone else who cares to use it. Of course he has been advised that he passes up millions in endorsements with his appearance, but he doesn't do it because he is a thug. That is whay James is. He cares about poor people and Immokalee.

I have heard the same things about the Edge. I read somewhere that he often times spends his days at a pool/game hall for little kids and ends up sleeping on a ratty couch, wakes up and goes home. People see him driving home at 6:00 in the morning and just assume that he was out thugging it up when in reality he was basically babysitting a bunch of underprivelaged kids and being a surragate dad.

I would take the Edge any day of the week. Great, great talent.

I watched Edgerrin James' on NFL Network last night as he was being interviewed by Rich Eisen along with Clinton Portis and Willis McGahee.

If "1st impressions" actually mean anything, I was very disturbed by his demeanor during the segment. He was almost lying down in the chair and had a very cocky attitude towards Eisen. His answers to questions were borderline "why am I talking to you" and he generally came across as a "punk".

There is no questioning his talents and I have no knowledge of him being a "problem" player, but if I were a team evaluating whether or not to consider him as a FA (especially with the calibre of other RB's out there), his attitude as demonstrated would certainly be turning me off.

Would his demeanor possibly have anything to do with the fact that the Colts aren't showing ANY interest in him after what he's provided to them? Wouldn't you be a little pissed?
