Sportscenter analyst Brian just said there are no front runners for Lebron James right now.

I hope this is just ignorance by the Cavs thinking that they are the only option for Lebron if he leaves Miami so that them getting signals that he will leave Miami is interpreted as he is surey coming back.

Well it seems like they are putting out stories about Lebron coming back?

Might even backfire on them considering Lebron wants to do everything without anyone knowing.

If James' agent is really pushing for him to return to Cleveland, then the Suns hopes of signing him, however feeble, pretty much flew out the window.

I'd be very surprised if James's agent is "pushing" for him to do anything, other than consider his options. James is a big boy and can make the decision by himself. If you were James, would you really let your agent push you around?

I think Brian Windhorst has been the voice of reason in the James fiasco. Everyone is rushing to be the first to report on a James movement, but he's been the one telling people to, "calm down" and reminds us that things are status quo at the moment.

Woj has been good about giving out detailed info. Broussard needs to hind behind a rock until this is done.

No, of course not. My guess is James doesn't take the time, nor does he have any interest in reading all this internet crap. He relies on his agent to give him an accurate summary of what each team has to offer. If he feels he can't trust this person or this person is giving him bias info, this person would not be in that seat for very long.

It means the Cavs realize that they can't credibly recruit James while having a hate letter on their website.

Agreed. I don't think that means anything in terms of the Cavs deal being imminent or anything. How do you recruit someone who is being openly blasted on a team website?

Here is going to be the interesting thing. When Lebron resigns with Miami....does the letter go back up?

i think another letter goes up if lebron isn't back with the Cavs, something not bashing a person for not resigning with them.

Precisely.

It's perplexing that despite the fact that LeBron would be coming home, he would sign with Cleveland considering how classless the owner acted when he left, along with the organization's inability to give him quality help while he was there.

man, it would be the height of comedy if Cleveland really thought it was getting LeBron and took down the letter...only to get jilted at the altar again and post an even worse letter.

The fact that such a letter was even posted on the website AT ALL is the height of unprofessionalism--that it was present there for four years, amazing.

I guess that's what I loved most about Jerry Colangelo. You might disagree with the style of team that he built, but he always carried himself with class and treated people respectfully--even when they did not treat him that way.

If LeBron goes back to Cleveland, well, they deserve each other.

Ideally that's how it would work, yes. But then there was that little incident with McDyess...

Yes, a lot of people say Lebron could redeem himself by going back. I say the opposite - he would lose credibility by going back to Cleveland, a team and state that badmouthed him after he gave it his all for 7 years, the best 7 years in Cavs history.

No way I would go back there and no way he should go back there. They failed him before.

I think the Suns should pounce on Bosh, give him a max. Then at the trade deadline, trade him and a few picks for Love. He'll have no choice and be stuck in Minn. for the duration. The Suns get Love without giving up any other players. Minn. replaces Love with another "star" and max player, but we helped trick him into the sentence. Winner!

:)

And then no FA would ever sign with us again.

OTOH, isn't his agent a boyhood friend? If so, he might have some influence on The King.

I guess not:

6. Unlike many in LeBron's inner circle, he isn't a childhood friend from Akron. Paul and James met in 2002 on the way to the Final Four and bonded over retro football jerseys, according to an ESPN the Magazine profile on Paul in 2012. (That profile is well worth a read in its entirety.)

7. Although he wasn't one of those childhood friends you might've seen in "More Than A Game," he was one of the "Four Horsemen" — LeBron James, Rich Paul, Maverick Carter and Randy Mims — who comprised LRMR.
