Great quote from the feedback on that site:
The second you count out Bourne is the second he appears behind you and blows your head off.
:biglaugh:

I laugh because it's true.

If John McClane can take out:

- Karl (Hans Gruber's resident Ku-Fung expert), his brother, and the rest of the Stasi stationed here in the US
- An entire Rogue Special Forces platoon
- Simon Gruber and his S/M Neo-Nazi-East German-Hot-Babe Katya (plus the rest of his thugs)
AND
- Mai (a chick who survived being hit by a truck, then driven through 4 walls in a friggin building)

I think he would take Jason Bourne.

Holla!

I think we'll be doing the Ultimate Bad Guy contest next...in a few weeks.

There are some awesome bad guys out there, and a top 32 will be fun to come up with.

Is that the right use of that word, or did you mean "institute?"

Maybe not, we use that word everyday at work to mean putting or creating a object into place...to instantiate it.

So I think I was thinking I'd put more rules into place, create more rules...I dunno.

I like the word though :)

Sounds like you're trying to steal some of my Kumite thunder...but since I'll never get around to starting another, it's my bad.

Heh, actually I guess I never saw it on here, I've just been too busy...but this idea has been around for ages and I'm sure I stole it from someone else :)

Ah, but there is a flaw in the premise. McLane is a hero in his own movies, and so he is destined to win. Bourne isn't a villain that's required by the script to lose. Ergo, advantage Bourne.

But you're missing one key factor of the Bourne vs. McClane scenario:

Bourne is not a cold blooded killer.

Ergo, as Bourne would go through his "fact finding process" trying to establish his identity by interrogating McClane at gunpoint, McClane would seize the opportunity to gain the upperhand in the struggle when Bourne lowered his guard...even if for only a split second!

Advantage: McClane

I get all the love for McClane, but honestly...he'd be screwed if he met Jason Bourne in a dark alley :)

That's the beauty of McClane versus anyone...he's the ultimate underdog.

On paper, you'd never even give him a second thought in any of his on-screen fights.

However, he always finds a way to prevail. It's the epitome of the rugged individualism that America is.

To not think that McClane would defeat any of the more highly trained professional killers he has either already faced, or will face, is to doubt the idea of America itself!

You don't doubt America...do you?
