Knew it was coming. Sucks as I really like Feely. I just wish he could kick it out of the end zone. I hope Cat does well.

I'm not sure Feely getting cut means that it is automatically going to be Cat's job.. I think the Cards might look at other kickers who are cut. The guy Sharp last night from the Bengals kicked a ~52 yarder right down the middle with plenty of room to spare.

I'm with you here. I believe they will bring in another kicker from somewhere else to battle for the kicker position.

And I think they were saying Sharp is slated to be released/PS - I hope we pick him up - I thought I saw a stat where he was one of the most accurate or consistent kickers in the NCAA two years ago.

Another guy to consider is Brandon McManus (Giants). 90% of his kickoffs are touchbacks and he is also accurate. He may end up winning the job from Brown but if not, he may be worth a look even though Catanzaro has been good.

I love Feely. Wish he could kick it out of the end zone or he would still be here. I hope he finds another team, then retires and comes working for the Cards in some shape or form.

The talk in NY is that he still has some mechanical problems from college. On the plus side, he also punts. Coughlin usually sticks with vets, so he could very well be cut.

Sharp won't be picked up by anyone. Every one of his kick offs barely made it to the goal line.

While I am not enamoured with Feeley, I do send my best wishes to him and his family. He was solid for the Cardinals for several years, and though his leg strength gradually diminished over time, he worked hard to improve his results. He was active in the community as well. Thanks for a good run with the Cards and good luck with your future endeavors.

I second that emotion. Farewell and best wishes to Jay Feely.

Right down the middle? It hugged the left upright.

One thing I liked about Feely and Rackers was that they weren't afraid to get down field and help in coverage. Has anyone noticed if Catanzaro is willing to make a tackle?

Yep, they didn't care on getting dirty. I have not seen Cat down the field yet.

I like Feely as a person. Wish him the best.

Excited to see what Cat can do. His kickoffs have looked great.

All Catmando's kickoffs have been high & to the back / out of the endzone so I dont think he's had an opportunity to run down field yet.
