Right the Head Coach of this team would rather win less games just because he doesn't like Leinart.

It's amazing to me how little a player can do on the field and how much he can do wrong off the field yet have so many blind supporters like Leinart who still believe in him.

Leinarts agent: "This is MADNESS!!!"
King Whiz: "Madness? This is the ARIZONA CARDINALS!!!!"

Uggh... Somehow I feel we will be hearing the same ole Cardinals again!!!

Absolutely. I am a huge fan of Whiz but this whole offseason has been a freaking disaster. The Cards made a huge mistake not going after McNabb if this is the case.

Agree...And I screamed for McNabb the whole off season. But I think the FO handcuffed Whiz...and so he had to play the hand he was dealt...I think then Whiz handcuffed Leinart to make him fail...and Hence Whiz gets his QB even though Anderson may be questionable.

or how blind the naysayers are when he's never been given the reigns to play multiple games in succession from his present HC. I hope Wiz is correct in his assessment of this & really hope he is spot on in what he sees in Hall because I have little faith in DA. Come on Max show us more of what we've seen in preseason!!!

We got more for Jorrick Calvin than we will for Leinart. What do you expect to get for a guy after you just told everyone he lacks intangibles and chemistry with the team?

Unless the FO picks up another veteran QB, I fully believe we'll see Max Hall start a couple games this year. There's no way Whis has the patience to deal with Anderson for a full season. Even as a Cardinal fan, I can't remember being this worried about the QB position going into a season. Someone, somewhere made a huge mistake. Even if getting rid of Leinart is the right move, which I don't believe it is, going into the season without a serious alternative is just plain moronic.

I'm just looking forward to talking about games and not Leinart in a couple of weeks... or at least talking about games, while others talk about him for the rest of the season.

Im afraid you might be talking about games with the undercurrent of the constant "See this is why Leinart should be the starter" :(

This franchise is acting like the Old Cardinals right now and it is pissing me off. Why not trade Leinart last year? Why not include him in a deal to get McNabb or Campbell!? Why diminsh his value so much that he will be had for peanuts?

This is totally FUBAR and we are stuck watching D-F-A ruin this season! WTF!!!!!!!!!!????????

I actually think it is highly likely we get something in return in a trade. Cards have been very active and successful with the trades this offseason, even willing to take a little less in return if need be to get the deal done.

Jay Glazer also has a be-line to Matt and his agent. Glazer is a good friend of Matts so anyone want to put money on one of his sources being Matt, his agent, or a friend of both of theirs. Which leads me to believe or put as least some credence to the report.

Get ready for gun slinging, wow that was a great play then the next bang your head up against wall Jake Plummer era #2.:raccoon:

Nah, he won't be that exciting. He can't scramble and has no history of producing wins in the clutch.

Can we change the thread title to give credit to the correct person. "Jay Glazer reports" not KFFL.

Good point. KFFL actually reports nothing of it's own. It's a newswire.

I don't think so - I don't think Whis woke up a couple of weeks thinking Matt wasn't his guy. IMO, it's a big rolling ball of politics and BS and oil/water personalities & styles, combined with little communication. Toast should have been moved in the offseason when we could have got a 7th rounder for him.

Leinart just saw the writing on the wall and basically said "ef it, you don't want me then I'm totally out." :)

I don't disagree with this at all.

I think Wiz wanted to (or maybe was asked too nicely by the FO) to give Matt the chance to see how he reacted to having the reins. But with the season approaching Wiz just looked at Leinart said I don't want to hitch my ride to this guy and we need to move on. The team was not responding to him in preseason games and I don't remember anyone saying he was balling out in TC either.

I don't think Leinart was given a fair shake. I just think if a known QB guy like Whisenhunt (Warner, Big Ben - and many will say he hated Wiz too but he turned out to be a pretty damn good QB) says he doesn't like the makeup and ability of this kid, I listen.

Until we have a losing season - and despite what some would tell you thats not a near certainty this year - I will trust he knows better then I.

ESPECIALLY about Quarterbacks.

One thing about Jake, he could sure make things interesting. Toward the end of his tenure with the Cards wasn't he among the NFL leaders in 4th quarter comebacks? For some reason I was thinking that only John Elway was ahead of him.

Problem was many of the time HE was the reason we were behind.

i know you are joking, but Whitehurst has played the worst of all 3 QBs. His last two games were AWFUL.

Wouldn't that just be the perfect ending to all of the mess with #7 & the HC? I could see it possibly happening given the rumors of the coaches being hot after him...but it would be very disappointing though. I would much rather have a draft pick than a career clipboard carrier.
