I don't either excepting for quarterbacks. Just don't trust the hype around Jaycee Horn as a top 12 CB.
I don't believe it is hype. For many scouts he has consistently been in the convo of the top 5 CBs. His play this season put him behind Farley and Surtain. People have continued to question Surtain's athleticism similar to Horn. Horn's pro day is causing folks to review the gap between the two prospect s who are very similar. Farley having back surgery after missing games in 2019 due to back issues is causing teams to drop him a bit due to medical concerns. Greg Newsome II is the next CB people consider a 1st round option and is stylistically different than Surtain and Horn. He has "risen" because of a lack of starts prior to this year and really good film in 2020.

What Simms said was that Horn fits in a scheme like Seattle plays, but not in man coverage scheme like the Cardinals played with Peterson last year.

While I believe Horn can play in the press cover 3 scheme that Seattle runs, I don't know that it is his best fit.

What I know is that very few players are Jalen Ramsey or Patrick Peterson (prime) who can consistently be matched up in man without help over the top for the majority of games. For most guys it is a tool in the tool-belt that they can use here and there but not consistently. I don't believe you ignore CBs like Surtain or Horn because they may not be able to play man to the level of Ramsey or Peterson.

I don’t understand why hand timing still exists. We have technology which can ensure accuracy and level comparison for all draftees.
