So, since Warner was the master of throwing the ball up for grabs (or just did it quite well) that means he has a rocket arm?

(Hey, look another question!)

LOL. Because I think Jackson caught a long pass or two from Kolb, I'm a proponent of his arm strength?

Read it in the context of the thread, where we were specifically talking about whether Kolb has the deep-passing ability to get the ball to Braylon Edwards on the kinds of routes that make him successful.

But if you want to state one thing on one thread, then deny it on another, and then deny that you said anything before, that's totally up to you. I believe what I say.

That's not really true. Edwards' production really didn't change much when Holmes came back from his 4 game suspension.

In the first four games, Edwards had 1, 5, 2 and 4 receptions.

In the final 12, he had games of 5, 4, 1, 3, 4, 4, 2, 2, 1, 8 and 6 receptions.

His time without Holmes did not do anything to pad his stats.

Strange that you use reception totals here. Why not yardage totals?

Would it be because Edwards had 2 of his top 3 receiving days when he was the #1 WR? Or because Edwards scored 4 TDs as the #1 receiving option for the Jets in the first 6 games of the season, and then only 3 TDs in the remaining 10 games?

Also, it bears mentioning that Santonio Holmes is the perfect kind of complement to Braylon Edwards: a speedy catch-and-run player who demands attention in the intermediate routes and opens up the deep corners to one-on-one coverage for Edwards.

And? Did he not hit deep receivers in Philly? That doesn't mean I think Kolb has a big arm. It means I think he's an NFL QB that can make deep passes when it's called for--especially the jump ball kind that doesn't require hitting a receiver in stride.

No, it was simply to show that he didn't disappear after Holmes came back. The point remains--Edwards was a productive receiver even after Holmes came back.

And Fitz doesn't demand that attention?

I don't know why you have a bug up your ass about this.

Arm strength looks fine to me here

Well, that one example on a fake end-around up by 11 at home with no one around him against one of the most toothless pass defenses in the NFL last year clearly proves your point.

If you'd watched Kolb, beyond a few highlights, you'd know that he can make every throw.

Wonder what Kerry Rhodes and Jay Feely think about Cotch and if they have reached out to him.

According to Somers, we are still interested in Edwards and Floyd.

Maybe an addition to the WR market will help shake it out a little faster.

Lighten up.

I have seen no evidence he cannot make some of the throws....where do you get your info?

It wouldn't surprise me to see Cotchery to Chargers
Then Floyd here (or elsewhere).

Wouldn't mind either one here.

I'm not really interested in this. My point was about what would be best for Braylon, thinking that McNabb's strengths are more complementary to Edwards's in this offense with this QB.

I'm pretty sure that Kolb can make all the throws as well, but Donnie McNabb was one of the better deep-ball QBs in the NFL--best I've seen outside of Daunte Culpepper (who admittedly had more to work with).

K9, with Edwards signing in SF, I would like to be the first to say you were right all along.

(like you said I always say eventually) :dcr:

I think Vick throws the best deep ball I have ever seen. I dont know about most accurate but man its tight and has zero wobble. Seem like he could throw it 80 yards

I'm second to no man when it comes to loving Vick, but his deep passes are all lasers and dealt difficult to catch. McNabb and Culpepper could drop a football into a laundry hamper at 65 yards.

Meh, I saw the opposite when I watched him play last year. 60 Yd bombs dropping right into the WR hands a few feet ahead of the defenders he burned.
