Well, if she IS his biological daughter she would be entitled to a portion of his estate.
How so? Kids get disowned all the time by rich parents? Once an adult you have no obligation to just “take care” of them legally that I’m aware of. Has that changed?

No different than a upper middle class family who kicks their crappy unappreciative kids out at 18 and tells em to figure it out?

She would have a claim.

It may just be that she wants it on the record. He still refuses to admit that he is her father, despite the prior agreement, trust, etc. A DNA test would prove it.

Per recent developments, the congressional aide has reached the court to get Jerry Jones to take a DNA test to prove his paternity. The original case to void the agreement between Jones and Cynthia was put to rest when Alexandra decided that she would instead seek to prove that Jerry Jones was her father.

“Alexandra has just decided that she wants to go ahead and proceed with parentage and DNA testing,”
said Jay Gray, one of Alexandra’s lawyers, and added, “She wants to remove any doubts that Jerry’s her father.”

Explain how? Since when does just being offspring, entitle you to money as a grown adult? The only thing I can think of is, if there’s back child support that he never payed it would be due?
It's not uncommon for mega wealthy people to decide they won't leave massive amounts of money to children. It's actually not good for them. Mick Jagger for example. And others in this article.

Adult children usually have no right to inherit anything from their parents.
Wrong....and it goes deeper. My wife's dad died many years ago. He also had a brother. When her grandmother passed away, her uncle tried to keep everything, but my wife was entitled to what her dad would have inherited....and she got it. It wasn't much, but it was hers.

Yup, I'm 51 and if I just found out that my dad was really a billionaire in his 80s, I'd be at court tomorrow.
You could be entitled to inheritance but you would not be entitled to one dollar of the billions your hypothetical Dad earned. At least wait until he's dead. In the meantime, trying to establish a relationship is probably a better move.

A will can cut kids out of any inheritance if that is what the parent desires. If Mick Jagger wants to give it all to charity, his kids can't stop it.

Depends on situation and legal documentation. Trusts, wills, etc…. And of course the money grabbing family members who are left out and try and argue it in court. Just because they are blood relation but completely left out. Some win some don’t. There is no guarantee of entitlement.

Ah, but in this case she would need to be specifically named in the will, to be excluded or have a legal chance to refute in court....and naming her would probably accomplish what she wants... paternity.

According to an ESPN article from 2022, Jerry's allegedly paid her (and her mother) an estimated $3 million, paid all of her tuition, and given her a $70k Range Rover (16th birthday gift).

Here's a twist - what if he takes the paternity test and he ISN'T her father?

I could see Jerry suing for all of that to be paid back. LOL

Personally, I believe he is her father and he set up that original secret agreement to keep it from ever going public so his wife wouldn't find out. Well, that's been exposed.

If she isn't entitled to anything (more) as his kid, why not just admit he is her father @Shane ?

Because she’s clearly doing this as a future money grab He’s a really old man how much life does he have left? Just like many family members have done with other rich people who have been cut out of wills etc… just like Ron admitted he would do… If he leaves her nothing in the will/trust. I’m sure proof of paternity will cement in her mind and some money grabbing Attorney to go after the rest of the family in court after he passes for a percentage that they feel they’re magically owed.

Why not establish paternity now and then put in the will that she receives nothing?

She can still sue… Relatives do it all the time when outright excluded. They sue because they’re not in the will. I’m assuming his initial reason for belaying it is to keep what family he’s leaving it to from hopefully not having to deal with future litigation and legal costs.

Leaving it? He's probably taking it all with him when he dies.

Her best bet probably would have been a positive DNA test and an untimely demise.

Those not specifically excluded can assume to be included...in insurance anyway
