I agree and the quality of grass in European stadiums has gotten much better. I think that it could work in American stadiums.Outdoor teams playing on turf makes zero sense. The field at MetLife has been a hazard since it opened.
Really, any team playing on turf is stupid. Throughout Europe they grow grass in stadiums that are basically indoors using light grids, they should do it here too.
