It did look weird on the brief replay. Jones had been setting picks on Bowen and the play before had brickwalled him.

If you want to watch the game again, you can buy/download it from nba.com for 3 bucks.

I might get it for medical purposes to induce vomiting.

That's pretty funny. Although I didn't think the game was that bad at all.

We got a makeup call with the Raja flop in the 4th that they waited 2 seconds to call.

Bad call, but not nearly as bad as the offensive foul on Ginobili in the 4th. That was one of the most ridiculous flops (courtesy Raja Bell) I've ever seen.

I agree that was no foul on JJ. However, the make up call was made. In fact, I would like to nominate Raja for an Oscar.

Manu pushed off. He knew he pushed off. He just never gets called on it. It took a major flop by Raja to force the ref to call it, but it was hardly the kind of phantom flop that Manu specializes in.

Terrible call. At any rate, did anyone else notice when Bowen tripped Thomas and got away with it?

I missed the first half but the refs in the second half seemed fair. I only had one problem. Did anyone catch those two moving screens by Oberto on 2 SA threes. The first one he moved on Bell and Ginobili got an open three and the other one was for Bowen I believe. Someone was running out to Bowen and he steps in again. Especially after they called that bs call on the JJ screen it really pissed me off.

i hate the spurs screeniing. always moving.

ever notive how TD always pushes on marions hips/waist/lower-back when he pick-n-rolls w/ parker? so annoying...why does he get away with stuff like that?

The Suns set a lot of moving screens too, if you want to get really technical. Most of the time they just let it go both ways it seems.

I don't think the Suns have moving screens on EVERY play like the Spurs do. I can only hope the Cardinals line could clear out the way the Spurs do it.

Yup, that was some fine work by Bell. I think the only reason that call was made was that Manu looked right at the ref and had guilty written all over his face. If he had kept playing that probably would have been a no call.

Are you seriously saying that this wasn't a phantom flop? Your own fans agree it was. C'mon be a little bit objective..just a tad bit?I love the suns for the most part, and ive been a die-hard spurs fan since i was a kid...I think you guys got the short end of an unfortunate situation, but there really isnt anyone to blame but amare and boris for breaking the rule...they even admit this themselves...but ive never experienced this kind of attitude from opposing fans before.id honestly believe you guys think you have never lost a basketball game in your life...Every game that you loose was because you were jobbed some how.take some responsibility, there isn't some massive conspiracy against the suns, there really isn't.

i think he's saying it was a flop (it obviously was a monster flop). I think hes just saying that manu usually pushs off with a foul (but not enough of a foul to have the refs call it). raja was finally able to get the ref to call it by flopping

Yes, I noticed the same thing. The announcers said that "He shuffled his feet which was cause for the moving pick" or something like that. He only shuffled his feet because Bowen kicked his foot. I don't think it was intential since I don't think Bowan knew he was right there, but bad call either way.

That moving screen call was kinda makeup call for a couple moving screens set earlier by JJ on Bowen. He got called on it, while Oberto and TD not, solely because of "reputation".

The offensive foul by Manu on Bell was "trapped" in and legitimate. Raja is a master at knowing how much body contact the refs allow in each game and lure the offenisve player into particular moves to "clear" space. And he has been waiting there to weather, and "act on", the impact all along. The calls are legitimate because the impacts are real. The reason it looks like flop is that he is always so "prepared" for them, that he couldn't react differently than the ways he did. The refs review the tapes and they will each and everytime say that the calls in his favor are correct.

Lots of players use their off hand to push off to get space to make a shot. Manu does it, Parker does, and Kobe does it almost every play. It's illegal but not called nearly enough.

Did Raja sucker Manu into the foul by flopping from relatively small amount of contact. Yes. Was it phantom? No, nor was it incidental. What shocked Manu was that he almost always gets away with it and Raja had the audacity to give Manu a dose of his own medicine.

BTW, Raja didn't run into anyone on his flop. :p
