I like Lampe much better than Zarko.

There is little negative I have seen with Lampe in the limited time except that he has to work on his strength. Well that's kind of obvious for someone who turns 20 in 11 months.

And of course not being too nervous.

Zarko on the other hand. He has to add a lot weight, strength, attitude to take contact, improve his decision making...
Can't say too much good about Zarko except that he is passing very well if he makes the right decisions.

And the Amare vs Lampe rumor. You gotta be kidding me. I just saw the Suns-Nets game again today. Lampe and Amare were bumping chests when they introduced the starters, Amare was giving him some kind words and a pad on the back when he shot that airball.

Watching that game. It seems totally out of question Amare would do something like slapping a teammate unless there is some good reason.
He was also bumping chests with Jake when Jake had a nice strong dunk.
Had some kind words for Eisley in one situation etc.

I think some of the national media is trying to put Amare in the bad guy image just like they did with Marbury.
They only see the guy who dunks it with as much power as he can sometimes, slaps away the opponets arm when he doesn't like the contact after the whistle, doesn't back down from any challenge and simply plays with a lot of heart and emotion.

Examples?
1.
Media: He is dumb.

Reason: Because he was already a little older than most highschool prospects and attended 6 highschools.

Truth: NY Post article said he had a high IQ and listed reasons why he graduated late.
Mark West and basically everyone who works with him says he is an intelligent person.
And from his interviews he always says the right thing and is very mature for his age.

2.
Media: He is bound to be a problem.

Reason: Because his mother doesn't have a clean past.

Truth: While he loves his mother , he is not her puppet. He will make his own decisions like he always has.

3.
Media: He was the reason Marbury was traded because they couldn't get along.

Reason: Marbury was traded.

Truth: Marbury and Amare both insisted that was not the case and they considered each other friends. They also hugged each other before the game.

4.
Media: Amare slaps Lampe

Reason: ????

Slin, I love how you are refuting something that was written in the New York newspaper and using the other New York newspaper as a sample to back your statement.

That's nothing compared to what George O'Brien is able to tell about Lampe and Vujanic. :p

Look at it this way: George has seen more of Lampe this year than any of us have seen Joe Johnson at PG. ;)

That isn't true and you know it :D

Seriously though, since JJ has been on the suns he has always played spot minutes where he was in charge of the offense. Especially last season when we had no PG depth.

Anytime Steph sat either JJ or Hardaway got things going (it was just whoever brought the ball up, it was never a decided thing).

I went up to the press table early enough to watch Lampe during his shoot around. He has a very pretty shot and hit a lot more 3 pointers than Marion did. You can tell he is well schooled because his mechanics on his shot are exactly the same everytime he shoots.

I am not sure who the coach was that was working with him, but he had him work on catch and shoot, catch and roll to the basket, etc. Lampe is a much better shooter standing still than on the move, but he looks very smooth going to the basket. He dunks the ball without hardly jumping.

Obviously there is a huge difference between a shoot around and doing it in a game. But watching him move around compared to Jake is a revelation. Lampe is very smooth while Jake makes everything look like an enormous struggle.

Thank you George!!! Right now Lampe is a little too amped in game situations and is overunning his defensive spots and is shooting too fast. However, his last game Lampe got minutes and scored his eight points, dished an assist or two, got a block, and some boards in a few minutes time, shows the POTENTIAL Lampe has. Lampe's footwork is WAY better than Jake's already. I agree with you 100%! Lampe moves a lot better than Jake. Jake is a hard worker, he just lacks the natural ability some guys have. I would say Jake is trying to make the most of his talent! :D
