How sad.

I remember the stories prior to the NFC championship game too. He didn't practice during the week, didn't get much sleep as he was with his wife and kid, and ripped off a long TD reception against the Eagles. I don't remember the exact yardage, but it was something like a 70 yard TD score. Watching what kind of player and person he is, I don't understand why people make such a big deal out of Keyshawn Johnson who doesn't do much in my opinion. I guess for what Johnson lacks in speed, he makes up for with his mouth.

What a terrible day. Who in the heck thinks when they wake up that this sort of thing is going to happen.

Same with the families who have to wake up to a phone call that a relative in the military has been killed in action.

What sad times these are.

So true. I'm even more worried what the coming days will bring as we attack Baghdad, with reports of Iraq giving possible orders to its troops to use chemical weapons once troops get so close. Makes all my little problems seem insignificant in the greater scheme of things. I've also been getting less of my football fix lately as I've been tuned to MSNBC and CNN watching the latest on the war.

Makes it real hard to post about football when you think about each one of those explosions on TV killing a couple hundred people.

And god only knows what that lunatic will do when he realizes that he is about to be defeated. Desperate and crazy are a bad combo.

Very good points about our problems being miniscule compared to the Jurevicius' child passing away and our troops in Iraq....but let's talk about ME for a minute--Alan Parsons Project. Guess who works at STL Children's Hospital and didn't even know Joe Jurevicius' child was there till I read the story this evening? That's right, this idiot. Maybe if I'd known I could have said a prayer or two that could've helped, who knows. Acutally, we've had several local pro atheletes who've had their kids in our hospital. This is the first "away" team to have a child here. (That I know about. Just call me Ostrich Man with his head in the sand) My thoughts and prayers will be with the Jurevicius' and our boys in Iraq, esp. Pat Tillman.

Didn't D'Marco Farr's child die recently? I know that he played for the Rams. Was he at STL Childrens Hospital?
