Cut by the CARDS in 95/96

That you had to go back to 1995 and Buddy Ryan to find his connection to the Cards, was last of 11 players taken by Cards in 1995 draft, helps support my position. Thanks.

Darwin Walker was cut in training camp by Tobin. He was a third round steal, and admitted after he left, that he had decided to only play in his home town of Philly, and he is.

That same draft class produced Thomas Jones, Ray Thompson, David Barrett, Mao Tosi, Jay Tant, Jabari Issa, and Sekou Sanyika.

OK who thinks the Cards would be a better team if we still had:

David Boston, Simeon Rice, Jake Plummer, Thomas Jones, Michael Pittman, Corey Chavous, Darwin Walker, Mario Fatefehi, and the old geezers that Crazy Canuck keeps dredging up.

Instead of Q, Berry, McKown,Shipp,Starks,Dockett,Bell and Methuselah.

You gotta give Rtutledge some credit.

The guy has now been in the league for 6 years? You earn an NFL pension after only 5. Must be nice!

Hold on, you forgot Jeff Christy from 1992, Jay Novacek from 1985 and Dave Meggesy from 1963. And there must have been a few guys they cut who went on to fame and fortune elsewhere from the 20's and 30's.

Try this list of NAME players or first round picks in comparison:
Joe Namath
Ahmad Rashad
Pat Fischer
Terry Metcalf
OJ Anderson
Tim McDonald
Ken Harvey
Leonard Smith
Ricky Proehl*
Chris Chandler*
Steve Buerlein*
Aeneas Williams*
Garrison Hearst*
Jamir Miller
Larry Centers*
Simeon Rice*
Tom Knight*
Michael Pittman*
Kwamie Lassiter*
Thomas Jones*
David Boston*
Jake Plummer*

Ricky Proehl* - idiot move by Buddy Ryan / good 2nd tier reciever
Chris Chandler* - typical journeyman QB
Steve Buerlein* - ditto
Aeneas Williams* - move forced by Aeneas; old, he has never played as well for the Rams as when he was with the Cardinals.
Garrison Hearst* - took many years to comeback from injury; has had a few good seasons
Jamir Miller - stupid move by Cardinals; hasn't played as well in Cleveland
Larry Centers*- stupid move by Cardinals
Simeon Rice*- good riddance
Tom Knight*- your'e kidding right!
Michael Pittman* - below average RB
Kwamie Lassiter* - had a good year or two with Cardinals / SD way overpaid
Thomas Jones* - jury still out, has done nothing yet
David Boston* - head case / Cardinals were smart to dump him!
Jake Plummer* - it wasn't working / will struggle this year in Denver

*Played in the NFL during 2003 season.
