Jordan Spieth is a three-time major champion and one of golf’s most recognizable stars, with a growing family that includes his kids: Sammy, Sophie and another on the way.
The PGA Tour standout and his wife, Annie Verret, who married in 2018, welcomed their first child, son Sammy, in November 2021. Two years later, their family grew once again with the birth of their daughter, Sophie, in September 2023. Most recently, Jordan announced that he and Annie are expecting their third child in summer 2025.
Despite the demands of professional golf, Jordan prioritizes family time and shares how much fatherhood has shifted his perspective.
“I think having kids and recognizing that, where golf was [my] life, I don't think it's necessarily a very healthy thing,” the Dallas native shared in a press conference in July 2024. “I'd like to be a lot of other things, and what I do is play golf, versus it was all-encompassing. And so that frees your mind up a little bit to maybe take a little bit of pressure off on the bad weeks.”
On April 9, Jordan's family joined him at the annual Masters' Par 3 Contest. While an expecting Annie played caddie for the day, Sammy showed off his tee shot, and Sophie was mesmerized by the course.
From their early milestones to the ways they inspire their dad, here’s everything to know about Jordan Spieth’s kids: Sammy, Sophie and the third baby on the way.

Jordan and Annie welcomed their first child, Sammy Spieth, on Nov. 14, 2021.
The professional golfer announced the birth on social media, sharing a sweet photo of his newborn’s tiny hand wrapped around his finger.
“Sammy Spieth born 11/14 Mama and baby doing great!” the first time dad wrote on Instagram. “Feeling blessed!”
The couple initially kept their pregnancy under wraps until Annie walked the course at the Tour Championship in September 2021, and she was showing.
“It’s something you can’t hide now that we are close,” Jordan told PGATour.com after the event. "It’s been a really great year. I’ve been blessed on a lot of fronts. ... So it should be an exciting fall.”
Sammy has had a front-row seat to his dad’s career since the start.
In April 2022, Jordan celebrated his dramatic win at the RBC Heritage by holding his then-5-month-old son while wearing the tournament’s signature plaid jacket. Though too young to understand the significance, it was a special moment for the new dad, who was calmed by Sammy’s presence.

“[What] turned a lot around for me last night was just hanging out with him and this morning,” Jordan revealed after his victory to NBC Sports. “It just takes your mind off of things and puts it where it should be, which is in the moment of hanging out. I really, really enjoyed that.”
While it's too early to tell if Sammy will follow in his dad's footsteps, he's already starting to accumulate the necessary equipment if he chooses to do so. On Father’s Day in 2022, Jordan showed off a golf bag engraved with Sammy’s name and birthdate.
The following spring, in April 2023, the duo got to share a special moment at the Masters Tournament's annual Par 3 Contest. During the event's family day, Sammy served as a miniature caddy for Jordan, who gave him pointers on his putting.
Since then, Sammy has continued supporting his dad at the Par 3 Contest. After his sister Sophie made her debut at the special occasion in April 2024, the brother and sister returned this year on April 9, where Sammy donned a white outfit and appeared to have improved his skills on the green.
Away from the golf course, Sammy enjoys quality time with his parents. Jordan, who is a University of Texas at Austin alum, shared a photo of them twinning in Longhorns gear and throwing up the school’s signature "Hook 'em Horns" gesture.
According to Jordan, his son enjoys a different form of action. "He loves monster trucks, so we were at the monster truck rally," he said on The Smylie Show in February 2025.

Jordan and Annie expanded their family with the birth of their daughter, Sophie, on Sept. 12, 2023.
“Welcome, Sophie 9/12/23 ,” he wrote on Instagram, sharing a black-and-white photo of him cradling the newborn.
Jordan had initially planned to join a Ryder Cup scouting trip to Marco Simone in Italy, but according to ESPN, he stayed home to support Annie during the birth of their daughter. The Ryder Cup team embraced the news, responding to Jordan's announcement with a warm message.
“Welcome Sophie — so happy to have you on the US team!!” they commented.
Like her older brother, Sophie is a fixture at the golf course. She was present at the Masters’ family day, which her father called “our favorite tradition.”

In April 2024, the then-newborn was nestled in a front carrier on her mom’s chest and wore a green Masters-branded cap. Sophie followed along as Sammy played with Rickie Fowler’s daughter, Maya. Jordan cradled his daughter at one point as they walked the course during the Par 3 contest.
The next year, Sophie returned on April 9, donning a green bow in her curly blonde hair and bright pink sneakers that contrasted against her white outfit. Cameras captured her walking around on the grass before getting distracted and Jordan swooping her up to get to their next hole.
She was also on-site at the John Deere Classic in July 2024 with her family, as they watched the trucks pave the ground.
Later that holiday season, the Spieths gathered for a special visit to Children's Health in December 2024, where Jordan’s foundation donated a family lounge for pediatric cancer patients. Sophie, Sammy and their parents joined in on the holiday festivities.
“Recently @childrens was kind enough to have our family participate in their campus tree lighting,” Jordan shared alongside a slideshow of photos from the event. “We loved spending time celebrating with the staff, patients, families - and Santa. .”

Jordan and Annie are expecting their third child, due in July 2025.
During an appearance on The Smylie Show in February 2025, Jordan was asked how his off-season was going, and he took the opportunity to reveal that he and Annie were growing their family again.
"We have a third coming in July, so it's busy," Jordan shared.
Though the couple haven't shared more details, Annie was spotted at the Masters' 3 Par Contest donning a bump under her white caddie jumpsuit.
