Josh Howard's Extension On Hold

Briefly: Josh Howard's contract status probably won't get addressed until close to the Oct. 31 deadline. Cuban and president of basketball operations Donnie Nelson both said there's a chance it could be tabled until after the season, when Howard would be an unrestricted free agent.

I see Dallas news is as on top of their game as news outlets in the valley. Howard will be a restricted FA next year.

Of course this should be no suprise. Kaman, Hinrich, Howard and Diaw are all pretty much in the same boat when it comes to an extention.

exactly! I was surprised at the report and read through a couple of Josh profiles to verify it was an error.

How dumb can these news guys be! They either blow things out of proportion/spin a sentimental story around sports stories (a la Albom)/get their facts wrong.
