I'm really surprised how many people here are chomping at the bit to dump Jackson, and in some cases for almost anything.
IMO this is a guy that if we give up on this fast we will really... really... regret it.
Jackson has been a negative player this year, no question, he plays wild and reckless and tries to do far too much with the ball in his hands. He's a good playmaker when he isn't trying to be a hero and not a bad shooter when he isn't forcing his shots and he's a legit defender far more often than not.
Either experience or good coaching is going to form him into a really solid player, the Suns would be fools to dump him without getting something of serious value in return.
I'm thrilled with TJ Warren's development but it's taken FIVE years for him to become something more than a decent midrange player in an era where midrange players have almost no value.
Jackson is a really talented player who plays wild (or dumb depending on your view), I'm a lot more hopeful that he can develop into something worthwhile than one of the young players who you wouldn't know they're on the floor 90% of the time... like Len or Bender.
