Next year's QB class already looks better than the last one did.

Just hit a fake-spike TD with 40 seconds left in the game. 35 unanswered points.

@Russ Smith

I gave it up when it was 24-3. Switched over to V-tech, WVU. Clicked back over with like 3 min left. Fake spike was crazy.

I've never seen two teams quit in the same game at different times. Rosen isn't the most talented QB but he's got STONES.

Darnold & Allen, who are also looked at as "top QBs" for next year, played atrocious. Hold your horses on this statement.

I thought a year or two ago Rosen was said to be the best NFL QB that will come out of the college game. Ive only followed UCLA casually now so I have no idea how he stands in that regard at this point.

Is Rosen not liked by his players and is known to be a jerk?

Yeah, yeah probably way too early to say it but the bar isn't all that high either.

yeah....70% completions and 289 yds is atrocious...even with the 2 picks... Darnolds worst game of his career,....after his top 2 WR's just went to the NFL

the kid will be fine,...still the best QB in CFB

but he also aint thrilled that the jets may be running a "suck for Sam" campaign this season.... jets may cause him to stay in college another year like they did Manning.

I would actually prefer Darnold have a down year then declare as it increases our likelihood of getting him

Still in the Philippines so just saw highlights but Rosen had an INT go right through a DB's hands for a TD. Had a roll away from a sack where he admits he threw the ball up for grabs to avoid the sack, and it was a TD. And then the fake spike where if I'm reading correctly the clock was already stopped so no reason all for ATM to believe they spiking it. I still think Rosen has a chance to be a good NFL QB but it sounds to me like they were really lucky to win

He's very outspoken but mostly against the NCAA and the farce of student athletes and I can't really blame him there. I think the team likes him, I don't think they would go through a brick wall for him but they like him.

THe issue with him is I don't think he's going to be the same after the shoulder injury, word from camp was his arm strength wasn't all the way back.

I still think Darnold is the best QB prospect out there I've seen. Raw, needs lots of coaching but size, can run and has a good arm

No I've been in Manila airport, Dumaguete City a few days, and the bulk of the time in Siquijor Island. Going to be here about 6 weeks, about 10 days left.

Anyone catch the outcome of Howard/UNLV? Vegas was a 45 point favorite and Howard won the game meaning a $100 straight ticket win bet on Howard got you $55K. Makes one wonder.

You are confusing point spread with money line.

A hundred dollar bet on Howard at +45 paid out $190.90. (Bet 11 to win 10)

Due to the very very large point spread there would have been no money line on that game.

With 0 TDs, & I can't take you seriously if you still use QBR in a QB debate. He's not better than Rosen or Lamar Jackson. Not to mention his mechanics reminds me too much of Bortles'. Not to mention most USC QBs don't live up to the hype in the NFL sans Palmer.

Rosen was good but very lucky. Texas A&M should have had a couple of picks on the last two drives. Additionally horrible play calling by Texas A&M. UCLA couldn't stop the running game but in the 4th quarter they didn't run the ball. HC Sumlin is certainly on the hot seat for his job.

Agreed. He did show the "it" factor last night though.

Texas A&M - couldn't understand not running the QB (Mond) more. He was 1/8 at one point when his strength is running.

Weird coincidence - I went to high school with Kellen Mond's Dad and my son went to high school with Kellen at Reagan in San Antonio (Trevor Knight also went to Reagan).

What are you doing there for so long? Work or a vacation?

I'm not saying this makes the come back any less valid, after all UCLA would have had three more downs to score. However it looked to me like if they had reviewed that final touchdown it would have been nullified. The receiver had not secured it with his foot inbounds.

The state of the game is mediocre and games likes this just prove it, along with severe underdogs winning and this trickle effect is starting to make its way into the NFL too... see the Atlanta Falcons in the Super Botch

where exactly did I mention a qbr?? dude has no receivers and still completed 70% for 289 yds....plus had about 4 or 5 drops
he played a bad game but if that is the worst he ever produces there is nothing to be ashamed of
