I think the Cutler comparison is more about his attitude... Rosen comes off a little like a prick.

Agreed.

And if that prick wins football games, is liked by this teammates, and coaches, and wear's Cardinals red, you going to care if people outside the Cardinals circle do not like him ?

I know I won't. I like his attitude.

Cutler is an introvert whereas Rosen is an extrovert.

Both can grate on people if their personality type is not taken into consideration. Both have facial expressions that convey they are looking at you with disdain which is why both get labeled as not being 'easy to get along with.'

Not even close. He looks a bit like a mix of Cutler and Eli, but his character is definitely Eli and not Cutler at all.

Anyway, watching Rosen play it's the polar opposite of Cutler. Great anticipation and touch, which Cutler didn't have at all.

Every Cutler throw was basically a fastball right at his receiver or a careless deep bomb. He got away with it a lot because of his arm talent, but lacking Rosen's instincts is why Cutler never maximized his potential. Too many turnovers and not moving the chains consistently.

That's why I'm so happy about our pick, because Mike McCoy's systematic WCO is perfectly suited for Rosen. If it was still BA running the show, there is no doubt he would've stood on the table for Allen. Would've been really interesting to see if Keim then still would've Chosen Rosen.

I love the pick. The kid has a real chance to be a cornerstone/franchise type QB.

His people skills worry me a little, but I'm willing to give him the benefit of the doubt for now.

For the first time since I've followed the draft (roughly 69 years) - on the NFLN Morning Show - I saw a big time positive reaction to a Cardinal draft move - this dude jumping up and down shouting "I love what the Cardinals did when they traded up to get Rosen."

High upside (though some would say "high risk") at a relatively low cost.

Yippee!

Rosen comes across as Carson Palmer's athletic skill-set coupled with a huge intellect and a reputation for being "outspoken."

To me, Cutler comes across as "all pro from the neck down."

Nah. Palmer was a freak of nature coming out of college. Rosen is Matt Ryan physically.

The more that I'm reading about him... the more that I'm starting to like him as a player. I still have concerns about him being able to sit behind Bradford & Glennon without getting malcontent. Especially with that story about him interviewing with colleges & telling them that he needs to be the starter day 1 freshman year or he's not going there. He's brash, opinionated, cocky, he has no filter & says what he thinks even if he knows people won't like it. When he's not happy then he doesn't hold back... like on draft day when he should be excited & humble that he was a top 10 pick, but he's too pissed off to be grateful. I don't know if that's the kind of personality that can lead men (most much older than him) when things are going bad. I hope he can, I want him to be successful. I hope that chip on his shoulder drives him to be one of the best QBs in the league for the next 2 decades. Maybe it's just immaturity & he'll grow out of a lot of it... who knows... as long as the Cards are successful then I'll be happy.
