Someone on the other board, posted that in Denny's press conference he said that Navarre had fractured a finger in the game, and Josh will start. The link to the P.C. isn't up yet.

If true, it's Josh's last stand.

I wish him well. Maybe he can play his way into a contract somewhere....

I remember hearing about that in the game chat yesterday. Weren't all his interceptions after he hurt his finger?? I didn't get to see the game, could any of his picks been a result of fractured finger, or were they all pretty much bad reads. If some could have been a result of hurt finger it gives me a bit of hope for next year.

I heard Denny say it now on the radio. Its True!!! We have a very good chance of giving the 49ers there only 2 wins.

How is that? Did we have a better chance of winning with King or Navarre? Just trying to understand where this statement comes from?

Denny said Navarre's got a chipped bone in his finger. Could do surgery right away and be lost for the season, or try play through it if he can. Denny said it's in a splint right now, but the swelling will keep him from starting next week, Josh gets the start.

Denny said he still thinks Josh will be a great QB, but things didn't go as he's hoped or planned, as far as the QB position goes.

I got the impression Navarre would remain active, and could play later if the swelling goes down, and would get the surgery done after the season.

This makes me FAR more confident that we might have something good with Navarre. Wow.

Good luck Josh...get us a win.

oh I dont know maybe cause Josh started for the first loss? Navarre and King have yet to lose the 9ers
EDIT:

Try this view DieHard. if you had 2 rifles laying in front of you and a lion is charging you. One rifle failed to fire when you went hunting earlier, the other you never shot before. Which one do you pick up to save your life from the lion?????

That is exactly how I feel about it. Navarre did not look all that bad for his first start, at least in the 1st quarter. I have much more faith in the kid if he played injured and has a legit excuse for some of the ugly throws after getting hurt. Cant wait to see what he has for a full few games injury free.

Josh will do fine against the niners, I am more concerned about Alex Woods than anyone right now. To many games of crappy play calling!

Correction. The defense went 4-5. Josh had little to do with any of the wins, and even in Miami, the Refs gave us some love and put us in a winning position.

Still, hope he comes out blazin....

Exactly. No I just hate Josh for some reason. I also think he will pick up right where he left off with 2 picks.
