oh I dont know maybe cause Josh started for the first loss? Navarre and King have yet to lose the 9ers
EDIT:

Try this view DieHard. if you had 2 rifles laying in front of you and a lion is charging you. One rifle failed to fire when you went hunting earlier, the other you never shot before. Which one do you pick up to save your life from the lion?????

Maybe I was watching a different game, but I dont remember Josh losing that game. I thought it was the defense that went to sleep and the play calling that all but said "we won, it is over, turn on cruise control"!

As for the question, I dont see how it applies to this situation. King sucked in 2 starts! Navarre, I would not mind having him start, but he is hurt. So if it is between King and McCown, no question, I play McCown!

Exactly. No I just hate Josh for some reason. I also think he will pick up right where he left off with 2 picks.

Well I am glad that you and swd agree on this line of thinking.

But it is painfully obvious that you do hate McCown, you drop his name with a negative, with any and every chance you get. I dont really care, your boy King and Josh will probably both be gone next year.

We needed one first down. We didn't get it.

Dockett's spear hurt matters terribly as well (and I love DD) and the Defense all of the sudden went into seive mode.

So Josh was partly to blame, and the defense was primarily to blame. But yeah, if this is a contest between Josh and King, it's no contest. I'm going with the guy who is tall enough to ride Splash Mountain...sorry Shaun. Practice looking good on camera.

Im with you on that. i was more along the lines saying Navarre vs McCown.

Ok on that I would agree. If Navarre is healthy, I say we start him. I liked what I saw in pre-season and in the first quarter against the lions. He may in fact be our best option at this point.

so what your saying is Josh never lost 3? No thats not right

Or Josh lost less games than the other 2? No thats not right

hmmmm ok I cant figure it out lol
Let me see if I can make this simple for you. In the 9 games that Josh started the Cards had a winning % of 44%. With King and Navarre the winning % was 0%

To take it one step further, when Josh started the Cards turned the ball over on an average of 1.2 times a game. The last three games they have had 4 TOs in each.

I don’t think it is a coincident that the Cards have won more games when the TOs are kept down. No mater how bad Josh has looked he has kept the TOs down for the most part giving them a chance to win the game.

Understand???

Wait a sec. If Josh wins, and wins big, won't that make Denny look like the biggest loser of all time?

That's why if I am Josh I audible every stinking play and throw for my life.

I seriously would chuck the ball to Boldin and especially Fitz and see if he can go get it.

I'd go completely nutz and basically bring back the run and shoot.

What has he got to lose? The game dosen't matter and he's not comming back so I would take every possible chance knowing the WR's would at least be on my side.

Nope, it will make him look like a genius.

"All Josh needed was some time to sit down, gather himself and watch from the sidelines. He has the talent, but he wasn't getting it done. It was hard, but benching him seems to have brought out that competitive fire again. He's our QB of the future, and we won't be addressing this position in the offseason."

You sure you want that?

No no no. God no. Let's not have this happen again. The LAST thing I want is for something stupid to happen and us pass on a QB again because someone comes up big in some late season, out of contention win.

It won't happen. We will address the QB issue during the offseason.

IMO next year's staring qb is not on the Card team at this time.

Next year's starting QB will be Josh McCown. That's my opinion.

I hope Josh goes out and pulls a Peyton Manning the next few weeks.

My eyes are bleeding!!!!

People, Josh did not win his job back. The starter (a rookie) broke his finger. Josh is fortunate that King sucks way worse than himself.

Navarre played one game...how does this prove anything? He could have gone 4-1 for all you know. I don't contribute anything negative to a rookie getting his first NFL start with an offense he's worked with for 1 week AND a fracture in his finger. Josh had 6 touchdowns in 10 games..Navarre had one in one game...I don't think stats like that hold up very well.

Go ahead, This_Guy....I see you viewing this thread. Go ahead and post about how King actually IS tall enough to ride Splash Mountain, and is the best QB not only on this roster, but all of the NFL's.

Don't lurk...

I just watched the first half of the Falcons game from back in September. Although there were mistakes, Josh looked really good in that game. That was the game where he completed something like 14 passes in a row. The offense moved the ball and receivers were open.

The offense looked a lot better than Sunday, which was bad. Criticize Josh all you want, but with him at the helm, the team scored 34, 28, 25, 14, 24, and 17 points in his last 6 games. Once King and Navarre came in, they scored 10, 3, and 12 in the last 3 games.

I think Navarre was hurt early and it's unfair to throw him in the fire so quickly.

In the end, it's the team the scores the most points that wins the game!! :D
