I'm not going to lose any sleep over not signing Mendenhall, but RB does start to become a big question mark. One of the more limited areas in FA and not a great draft class.

I'm not losing any sleep on signing anybody since most of the people on this board hope we suck enough to get next year's first draft choice.

I don't hope we suck but I see the writing on the wall. You don't cut your starting SS, CB and RB to save money which equals about what you would save by cutting your often injured QB Kevin Kolb. I understand cutting Wells as he was not healthy, was on his way out and was a poor fit, but cutting Wilson and Gay were mistakes in my opinion if you are looking to win.

Actually Mendenhall is only 25, though he will be 26 in June.

I hope he signs. Mendenhall has his issues, but he's still a young, solid, all-around RB. I trust him to carry the load more than I trust RW, that's for sure.
