Wow I've been tuned in for 3 minutes, tops, and I'm already wondering how you guys listen to this junk day in and day out.

Not listening was the best thing I did this whole season. Trust me it is not worth your time to continue.

The big thing in this report if true is that Leinart is pissed off. If your franchise QB is that frustrated and the owners don't do anything, they're just telling Matt hey we're paying you a lot, just grin and bear it.

They need to fire Green today to send a message to the players that they do care about winning.

Yes Russ and that message would be, "suck it up, we are going to suck the rest of the season even worse.

The AZCardinals web site says DG's press conference is at eleven and he will set out the strategies for how to improve during the bye week. I'm thinking he's not getting fired unless the organization is just totally disconnected and has no idea what the various branches are doing. Which also seems likely

I think he will still be HC probably finish out the season. But if the players have given up on him then it would make sense to move him out and promote Pendergast.

Maybe the Bidwills are ready to pony up for more assistant coach money...and they'll give Denny some ultimatums on who to keep and who needs to be replaced.

The message would be we get it, you lost faith in the coach, he's gone. NOw those of you that quit, better "unquit" if you want to be part of this teams future.

Am I the only one surprised Fitz wasn't desperately trying to get out there Sunday? Worst pass defense in the NFL, Green his godparents job in jeopardy, and there's not even a remote suggestion that Fitz might play? That says something to me right there.

SWEEEEEET! I'll be sure to NOT tune in! That way, I'm sure I'll hear just as much as the players will.

If the rumors they want him to quit, rather than be fired, are true, that might be the only way to get him to do it.

Yup, says something. The season is over...let his Hammy heal.

Yep order him to fire Solomon and Hargraves the way the Vikings did and see if he walks.

You could justify it too the secondary stinks and the TE's stink. In neither case do I think it's totally the coaches fault but if I'm trying to force Green out I could quite easily make that case on both coaches.

Oh I'm glad he didn't try to play my point is we all assume Fitz and Green are tight, if they really were I'd expect to have seen Fitz make a lot more public effort about trying to play that game.

I am glad he didn't but given that Green said Fitz was close but unlikely to play last Monday, it sure makes me wonder if Fitz was all that interested in trying to save Denny?

I don't know about that. I didn't want him to play until after the "bye". Why play a relatively meaningless game before he's physically ready and screw up his hammy so bad it could be a chronic issue? (Much like Kevin Johnson (Phoenix Suns) and Rob Moore had.) It would have bothered me a lot more had he played.

Interesting point. But I think DG knows that AZ exposed him. I was never a fan of this guy, and he underachieved in Minnesota all the time and had a better rep than he deserved.

It seems everybody wins in Minnesota....hell Coach Mac might take them to the playoffs.

I think DG knows his days are numbered, he's probably done. He's made his money, now go fishing. Why put Fitz out there and try to injure him? Wouldn't be surprised if FITZ gets out of here when his contract is up, though.

Bah, he's got three more years until he even gets a chance to leave. The truly positive change that has happened the last few years is that we've been locking up our key players before they hit the market. The last significant one to leave without anything for us in return was Boston and that's been a while now.

Russ,

Sorry, but I can't get into the Dr. Phil stuff. Trying to tell a player's feelings and motivations from outside actions is dicey at best. Ask any woman, they will tell you how lousy we are at that sort of stuff.

And you know they have not been willing up to this point ?

It's an assumption based off of the fact that he is hiring virtual no names...or cronies from Minnesota.

Either his budget is small, or he turned AZ into his personal Buddy Haven.......
