LOL anyways this sounds kind of fishy to me. I cant imagine an agent telling someone publicly that there client is just flat out asking for to much money???

Banks is his agent. Blake wanted 4-5mil from the Ravens, it's safe to assume that he isn't going to drop that for us. It's worth it for a starting QB.

Since Blake said he ahs only received one signing bonus his whole career, I say we offer him a nce little signing bonus with a small contract behind it. I really doubt he will get 4.5 mil. I think I heard we were offering kordell around 3 mil.

absolutely agree Blake is better than Jake we were willing to pay Jake 3 million to compete for the job, why not pay BLake 4-5 million to be the starter?

Blake is the best guy out there right now...some could argue for griese after june 1st...others might say tim rattay rfa. But Blake has some upside, can throw the deep pass, and other than his rookie year when he attempted 9 passes, has NEVER had more INT than TDs...One year he had 28 tds...

He's the best out there, don't pay 4-4.5...but offer him 3.4-3.8 and see what he does.

having seen a lot of Rattay in the preseason he is NOT close to Blake. They brought in McNown precisely because they weren't sure of Rattay, Cade was so bad he had surgery and Rattay got the backup job. he's smart and coachable but his arm is just average at best.

I'd rather play Blake and groom Josh another year or two.
