We are weathering the storm right now. The bye week at week 4 might be at the perfect time. Might allow Ellington, Palmer, and Mathieu to get healthy.

Facts are that the pass rush will be an issue all season unless Martin or Okafor can flash something we haven't seen yet. Maybe Cooper starts turning into the guy we wanted when we drafted him.

We have a solid roster, but we are just really unatheltic at LB which is a problem. The rest is pretty good.

The Cards are a good team. They really need to manufacture a pass rush though.

The Vince Lombardi words in my sig describe what happened today !
No Team (CARDS) ever wins the game --- One Team (GIANTS) will lose the game !

Todays game was a fine example of why I chose that Quote for my sig .

We're not great, we're not bad...so IMO we're a mediocre 8-8 team at best given our short comings on D.

I'm really scared to witness what the other Manning does to this D in Denver in 3 weeks

We are the 2-0 Cards who just won a game on the east coast on a short week with a backup QB. We are the team who beat the Chargers who've just beat the Seahawks. We are obviously a mediocre 8-8 team at best.

So far so good. Our D looks like it can be great. Special teams are good they will get better. Our offense has many great components I expect them to keep getting better especially with Ellington looking healthy..

Yes. But we aren't as good as we should be, yet.

Gotta find a way to stay healthy... Hard to reach full potential when we lose a starter each week...
That said. If we can get healthy and the honey badger can continue to work his way back into the starting lineup, we could be very good... Still don't know where or how we can deal with the lack of pass rush though...

Were 2-o but it hasnt been pretty. Offense isnt on track yet and now the line cant pass protect... again. Defense looked horrid with no pass rush and our secondary getting picked apart all day. If it werent for freaky Giant TOs I doubt we win this game today. But I'll take another ugly win against San Fran.

I think we just expect perfection from our D. They gave up 17 to a Chargers team that put up 30 against the SB champs today and we only gave up 14 today. I haven't looked yet but I bet statistically we're top 10 in terms of points allowed.

Good teams find a way to win; bad teams find a way to lose.

QFT. The old Cards would have folded today. Instead of a 71 yard punt return, the old Cards would have tripped on a blade of grass and fumbled. You get 4 turnovers and you will win most games. That said, I think not playing Palmer today ended up a lucky gamble. Stanton played well enough not to beat us and the rushing offense did very well. The defense bothered Eli enough to cause him to make some mistakes but you can't give up 300yds passing every week and we must get to the QB. I know not having quality LB's in place hurts but not having Dockett is really showing. However, I'd rather start the season 2-0 than 0-2 any day. Let's hope Palmer is healthy for next week.

So far, we've gotten two monkeys off our backs. We went on national TV (Monday Night Football) and not only didn't embarrass ourselves, we actually came from behind to win. I can't recall that happened in the past decade.

Now, today, we go to the East Coast, play a early game and win decisively. And did it with a second string QB plus we were minus several starters. How long has this been a major problem for us?

We are not the best team in the NFL, but we are certainly up there with some really good teams and I do believe we have the best coaching staff in the NFL. Our defensive secondary was the weak point today while the front seven held up very well. I thought it would be reverse of that. Regardless, it was nice to see Honey Badger get a few plays in. I think our secondary will get better once he is back at full strength.

I think the Cards are a good team, but not a great team

I think the lack of pass rush will catch up to them

The o line is better from last years disaster, but it's just "ok"

Better offensive consistency could help to cover up

10 am east coast game, against a 2 time SB winning QB. With our backup QB, who probably didn't get as many reps this week as he should have. And not only did we win, we kicked butt. Yes we are good.
