Second game of the season and we are 2-0. Not many teams can still say that and it was done with backup QB on the road. No team is great after two games and the definition of "great" and e en "good" will change numerous times thought the season. Heck, I see guys here changing their tune play to play. This team will only get better as the season goes. 8-8 would be a disappointment to me.

Arizona Cardinals, Bills, Panthers, Bengals, Broncos and Texans. Whiners and Philly can also be 2-0 when all is said and done this week.

so far, these wins have reminded me A LOT of the beginning of 2012. Squeaker, ugly wins. Remember folks, we were 4-0, had beaten the Pats IN New England and were coming off a route of the 3-0 Eagles... but I remember thinking we were doing it with smoke and mirrors. So far, I feel the same way here.

THAT SAID... If Palmer gets healthy, this offense will get better and not be the trainwreck the offense was in 2012 post Kolbcussion. The D is solid, but the lack of pass rush will likely keep us from being elite.

and THAT SAID, we beat a good SD squad and just won a roadie on the east coast without our starting QB. Hopefully our 3rd rounder from this year starts to get the game and is a player, maybe can a little to the pass rush. Remains to be seen what we really are, but RIGHT NOW, we're 2-0, tied for first and that's more then good enough for me.

I feel like you just pee'd in our victoryflakes. [emoji23]

Hope you're wrong about the smoke and mirrors, but I too thought about that 4-0 start...

I thought the San Diego game would answer a lot of questions about this team but I have just as many questions today as I did two weeks ago. But we aren't horrible, at least we know that much.

We are a top 12 team right now...not sure of much else past that at the moment.

We are good, but the Niners and Seahawks have areas which are great... our great equalizer is BA, he is doing one hell of a job :)

9-2 the last 11 games and the only team to win in Seattle. I like our team. The thing I like best so far is that they're winning without playing all that great and battling as many injuries as any team in the league.

Wasn't that Whiz's record when Kolb got hurt and the wheels fell off?

I know that we want to draw comparisons to the 4-0 start in 2012, but that team's OL was average before the injuries hit & then became attrocious. The D was actually pretty good, but wore down after we set an NFL season record for 3 and outs. Our OL isn't great, but it's much deeper & much better than the 2012 version.

In addition to the pass rush, another concern I have is red zone scoring. Stanton was abysmal yesterday in the red zone. Inside the 20, he was every bit as bad as DA, Double Duece, and Moxy Man. I can't include Lindley, because I'm not sure he ever got us inside the 20. Some of those passes yesterday couldn't have been caught by the Jolly Green Giant. When he wasn't missing high, he was hitting the calves of our receivers. Until the 4th quarter, Palmer wasn't great either against SD. But the Chargers D is pretty damn good. If Palmer is going to miss more time, BA better get Stanton playing better in the red zone. Otherwise, we will be in deep trouble.
