As everyone knows the Draft is three weeks from today. And I had a better feel for what Arizona would do in the first round when it was three months away. My suggestion is that a poster who is tech savy, which I'm not, post a Poll, with a number of choices for the Cardinals with their top pick. It would be titled, "The Draft Three Weeks Out". Then post a new Poll next week, "....... with two weeks out" and finally one just before the Draft. I'm curious to see if the choice changes as we get closer, and are subject to misinformation/last mocks by the experts, etc. Not sure about everybody else, but it would be interesting to me.

P.S. All I ask that two of the choices include A. Trade back a few spots, and B. Trade back to middle of the first round.

You shouldn't have less idea. FA has narrowed the options.

If we signed a guy to multiple year, strong money contracts with no short term outs then it's much less likely they draft that position with a premium pick.

The only moves that fit that bill are Kennard, Philips and Hopkins. In all honesty Kennard is borderline. They can get out of his deal next year for an amount that doesn't really hurt while saving $5m.

There are 5 positions I'm very confident we won't draft at 8 based on the contracts we have.

DT - Its borderline if there is a DT worth #8 and they have a pretty full room with the FA signings they made. I think they will bring in a Keim time draft/cap casualty late on a bargain deal.

WR - Ive covered this ground. Just not gonna happen now Nuk is in the house.

QB - Obvs

RB - Obvs

TE - Obvs

Anything else is on the board. Okudah, Simmons or any of the tackles (especially RTs). I think Okudah and Simmons are gone personally and I can't see anything other than RT if we stay put.

But I think trade back is a major option for us, maybe even preferred, depending on having a trade partner. I think Keim sees Nuk as the "1st round talent addition" and would be happy to see #8 turn into 2 or more quality players.

An ideal scenario would be Miami's 18 and 26 or the Vikings 22 and 25 or Niners 13 and 31 but it's unlikely. (Dreaming is free). The Pats need a QB and have 3 x 3rd round picks. Would you take 23, 87, 98 and 100 plus next year 1st for them to move up to #8 and get a QB?

Brit, it might be just me, but three months ago I was pretty sure that it would be a WR, even if not sure which one. Now, I'm reading WR, OT, DL or Simmons or Okudah.

Almost every draftnik has us taking RT now. Tough to find one that doesn't.

I have finally come around to this thinking. Not that you draft for public opinion, but the team has some grace after the sexy picks of Kyler and the trade for Hopkins. Now we can draft a solid anchor and no one will complain. We have a false sense of security because we resigned and oft injured LT, an older RT coming off ACL surgery and an undrafted developmental RT. If Humphrey's goes down we will wish we had a starting caliber young stud OT. Only exception to this pick for me is if Ohudah or Simmons is there at 8 and then I take them or trade back.

Brit, even those who have us going for a RT, usually say, IF Simmons or Okudah aren't available. And a number of posters on this Board call for Lamb being the pick. That is why I wanted a Poll so that we could see what members of this Board think that the team will/should do.

Our targets haven't changed that much.

It was

Okudah, Brown, Young, Simmons and Wirfs...and it is still those guys today.

DT Brown and WR's Lamb and Jeudy qualify as worth #8 - despite your yada, yada.

And your 'ideal' scenario once got us Pace and Skillet hands. Non merci !

Do it yourself.

It isn't rocket science.

Another suggestion:

As technology improves, the complexity and sexiness of video clips and other embellishments are locking up my computer more & often.

Hey mods - is there a way to add a "time to load" tag to each post?

Us old fogies are being left behind.
