Just curious: If Nate Poole had dropped the ball would QB still be a non-priority?

You're joking on this, right? The big knock on Drew Brees was his arm strength. He had the leadership, he had the accuracy, he had the mobility, but he only had a BB gun on this shoulder.

Eli has better arm strength than Peyton. The biggest questions about Eli have to do with his leadership attributes (not being vocal enough), some about his mobility/speed, but there are no questions about the physical ability of Eli Manning.

To tell you the truth, Eli has the same question marks about him that Ryan Leaf did, but Eli is a better person with a better background and support system.

"Purple power rules."

The faces on all that "Purple Power" as they filed out of Sun Devil Stadium on December 28th 2003, while their purple team was lieing all over the field crying was priceless. Priceless I tell you.

The mighty, mighty viqueens kept out of the playoffs by the lowly Cardinals.

It doesn't get much better than that.

I was listening on the radio, when Pasch screamed TOUCHDOWN I raised my arms in victory and yelled out in celebration. Then I realized they needed a loss to get the number one pick and had to laugh.

It is just the way it goes. I was still happy that Sunday, unlike most of the 16 weeks of Sundays when I am depressed about another blowout. I don't want to trade the feeling of victory on Sunday for a chance to move up from #3 to #1. I will root for the Cardinals to win every game, if that makes me shortsighted then so be it.

That game could have been the reason Denny Green came here.

That game could have been the reason Josh McCown got a chance to prove he really WAS the next great QB.

That game could be the reason free agents decide to come here.

That game could have proved that some players on this team really DO care, and CAN be good players in this league.

That game ... could have saved us from making a huge mistake with the #1 pick overall.

How do you know?

I know this, I was at THAT GAME, and it will forever be in my top 5 wins, since the Cardinals came to AZ.

Howl-a-loo-ya Brother. My whole family flew from wisconsin to the game. We had season tix for 8 years when we live in Phx, and it was the most exciting game I ever saw including Jackie 53 yard field goal in "98" to put us in the playoffs.

The dud was cut, what, 4 times from the active roster? On a team that was hurting for WRs? There's a reason for it. He's a marginal NFL receiver.

This team also cut/released/failed to resign Jamir Miller, Jake Plummer, Garrison Hearst, Darwin Walker, Cory Chavous, Rich Braham, Scott Eaton Jeff Christy,Larry Centers and Simpleton Rice. I'm not saying Poole is the next Jerry Rice but it looks like the DUDE can catch a pass if it gets to him.

Being cut by the Cardinals is not a predictor of future performance.
