And the L is for leadership. Remember after the time we made the playoffs under Vince Tobin, we let two guys walk, Lomas and Larry. Our decline was then attributed to the team's lack of leadership. My point is that even if we get a second round pick for Anquan, we can't afford to lose his leadership. Especially with Kurt retiring. JMO.

We made the playoffs that year on the shoulders of a clutch kicker. We still need one of those as well.

Walking out on your team after the NFC championship game shows leadership? Anquan, let me get the door for you.

Larry is not the leader that Q is. You don't see Fitz coaching up Doucet on the sideline. You don't see Breaston sitting right next to Fitz every time the camera finds him.

That said, the time to deal Q is now. As unfortunate as it may be.

I think retirement has already taken the two "leaders" from our team.

Berry and Warner.

We all know things are going to be vastly different for the Cardinals this fall.

No big deal though. The Cards getting ahead 31-10 and 21-0 every game was getting boring. :D

I can't say I have seen Q doing that much either. I think the difference is our "Leadership" is with our coaching staff now. The players suppliment that, but like most of the consistantly good teams right now, it comes from Whiz.

I do remember Fitz doing these types of things with Beanie, etc. Just because we may not see it, I definately think it has been Larry's team for a couple years now.

Really ? I have. Many times. Not to mention the Q's teammates talks about how much Boldin drives this team as a whole, and how they rally around him.

This "locker room cancer" is media hype, and fan speculation. I say that because I trust in what the coaches and players say about the man over outside sources.

As for leaders ? Two of our biggest leaders are question marks this offseason in Dansby and Anquan. Dansby is our leader on defense, he does the pre-game talks, he is the guy calling the plays, and the audibles.

But if both leave, then others must step up.

As crazy as it would sound, I would let the inmate run the isylum, and get Dockett to lead the team. Talk about someone who is all about "us versus the world, and screw anyone that is not in red."

I would not let Q go. I would reward him also for past service . To me the Cards should pay 6-7 mil a year.

This

Fitz is still a leader, but he leads more by example. He has a quiet vibe to him. I got a chance to converse with him at a charity event and he truly is a humble guy, but I just don't see him challenging the team to step-it-up like Q does. Thus, I think we should do what we can to keep Q unless it is completely hopeless

People that don't see Q doing that type of stuff aint looking. Heck at TC this year Q was taking an ample amount of time on the side and after practice personally coaching up Garvin and working with him.

Cardnots and other posters are in denial. All you have to do is read my signature and that pretty much sums up what type of leader the players think Q is. BTW what the players/coaches think is all that matters.

Thank you kind sir.

And hell yes I would be interested in the Fat Crab. Not only can he kick it a mile, but he just might be the blocking TE this team needs.:D

More important than losing either of those 2 was Jamir Miller signing with the Browns then following that up with injuries to Rob Moore, Plummer breaking his thumb and missing 5 games(and not being very good when he played), Eric Swann being hurt, Wadsworth being hurt and the schedule being harder.

Losing Centers & Brown IMO was much less a factor.

Agree. Losing Centers 8 yard receptions on 3rd and 10 did not hurt nearly as bad as the lack of talent/depth on the rest of the team.

I was soooo happy when I was able to pull off a "gotha" on this. Go ahead and kick AZJAM in the nuts but the bottom line is I am one up on you and your boy "Rackers".:biglaugh:

OK,all kidding aside....lots of respect for you MD and nice to have some fun with a fellow Card fan. We both have passion for our team and isn't it more fun to tease each other than to go after each other as some other posters do!!!
