Read that he wants to play for Hue Jackson there. Not too often you see someone want to play for the Browns (except for Terry Crews and his son in the movie Draft Day :p).

Crazy. How does Denver miss out on him? I would rather take the chance with Kap than Sanchez. IMO

The Broncos were talking to Kaepernicks agent about a restructure of his contract yesterday.
Difference is that the Browns and 49ers are in agreement in draft pick compensation...according to twitter.

For the 49ers and Broncos, while Kaepernick's salary is not really an issue, the compensation for Kaepernick is. Silver had the following to say within his article.

"The Broncos and 49ers remain apart on compensation, with San Francisco seeking a second-round draft pick in exchange for Kaepernick. The Broncos have had discussions with Kaepernick's agents about a restructured deal for the quarterback, and a source familiar with the conversations characterized those talks as productive."

As for the 49ers and Browns, talks are stalled by Kaepernick's salary, not compensation. That part has been generally agreed upon. The Browns would not want to pull the trigger on the trade if they believe that they cannot have him on the roster for the right price. Silver says the following.

"As of Friday, talks between the Browns and Kaepernick's agents on a restructured deal had not progressed to a point that would satisfy the quarterback enough to green-light the arrangement. The 49ers and Browns, meanwhile, are in general agreement regarding the draft-pick compensation that it would take to acquire Kaepernick."

Silver goes on to state that if a trade cannot be worked out, the 49ers are not afraid to simple keep Kaepernick on the roster and have him compete with Blaine Gabbert for the starting job under new head coach Chip Kelly.

The issue with Kaepernick has been his decision making.................wanting to play for the Browns truly closes the book on him. Dude is an idiot.

2nd rounder for Kap is too much, IMO. He struggled with not so great WR's in SF, but at least they had Boldin. Browns have no WR's, at all, and their best receiver is a TE.

Would the compensation be a 3rd if traded to browns and a 2nd if traded to broncos because basically those picks are only a couple picks apart. Either way I think it's more than I would give up for him.

Since Billy screwed his chance up, Kaep is gonna fill the void and hang out with LeBron in Cleveland. Joakim can't believe that someone actually wants to go to Cleveland.

I think Hue Jackson is actually a pretty good coach so he might be able to turn that franchise around. Oakland shouldn't have let him go so quickly.

Update to the trade..I would post a the article but it links you to another forum...don't think the mods or the owner would appreciate that.

Kap will restructure his contract with the Broncos asking price, but they are only offering a fourth.

Kap will not restructure his contract to the Browns asking price, they are offering a second round pick.

He ain't going nowhere.imo

Browns want him to take a 5 million dollar pay cut. Doubt Keapernick will do that.

he has no reason to really.... he can sit on the pine and collect all of his salary then hit the market a free man next year...unless the niners want to put some sort of tag on him.

Niners need to make a deal..or they lose in the end and get nothing when he walks.

most likely we will be seeing a draft day trade on this one....unless Denver blinks.
