Dansby was a trremendously solid player for the Cardinals who kept on producing even after he was switched from an WOLB in a 4-3 system (where I have always felt he was best suited) to an WILB in a 3-4 system. He stayed pretty healthy, he made big plays, and showed leadership on the field.

I understand you may not have liked how he left, but that doesn't discount his productivity on the field. Also, keep in mind NFL players are drafted to play in a certain city or state. I have a hard time becoming angry when a player decides he wants to move close to where he grew up or close to where he wants to be. NFL players don't OWE teams anything outside of playing out their contract, and I have a difficult time seeing how anyone can justify thinking they do.

That's your opinion, certainly not mine. Mine showing me where I even mentioned Bradley in ANY of my posts? Where do you come up with this crap?
Here is where I came up with this crap. You mentioned Dansby robbed us blind in your initial response. If anybody has robbed us blind, it's Bradley. Dansby played at a high level and deserved to be paid at a high level. I don't see how you can say he robbed us blind. A guy getting a 30 mill contract that can't beat out Reggie Walker, that's robbing us blind.

But you don't feel the same way about Kurt Warner? That's seems inconsistent.

I don't care that you don't care what Dansby did when he was playing for Arizona. You claimed he robbed us. Karlos didn't hold a gun to Michael Bidwill's head and force him to use the franchise tag. Twice. Dansby earned every penny the Cards paid him.

If anyone robbed us it was Warner. By leaving as he did he robbed us of the enjoyment of the 2010 season. An unmitigated disaster even by old time Cardinal standards. I need to go back and look at some threads and see if you attacked Kurt as vehemently whenever someone posted something that Warner said.

I don't like Dansby. He thumbed his nose at us and left. Case closed.

So true

QUOTE=CardLogic;2638527]Karlos Dansby - I really enjoyed his time between the lines as a Cardinal; not so much outside the lines.

He played well for the Cardinals, but seemed to think he was better than reality.

It appears that trend is still holding true in Miami...[/QUOTE]

So you admit that you were wrong and Dansby didn't rob us blind. You just don't like him.

I'm still waiting for you to explain why you don't feel the same way about Kurt Warner. After all you have always been one of the biggest proponents of people honoring contracts. Dansby leaving didn't hurt us near as much as Warner. Kurt thumbed his nose at us AND reneged on a deal and left us with DeWreck Anderson and Max Hall and 5-11 and dead last in almost every statistical category and then Kevin Konkussion Kolb who cost us a pro bowl corner and a 2nd round draft pick and a jillion dollars. And after he left he made disparaging remarks about your beloved front office. Why don't you dislike him and not care at all about anything he did while he was a Cardinal?

Dansby left us with Daryl Washington and Ray Horton and a defense that is on the rise. I don't recall Dansby ever saying anything negative about the Cardinals. And though I may be mistaken on that I believe your venom is being spit in the wrong direction.

You should be writing I don't like Warner. He thumbed his nose at us and left. Case Closed.

The Cards had a good 3 years to work out a long term deal with Dansby and didnt make a real effort until he had gone to Miami to get a real offer. If you want to be angry about the way he left then blame the front office.

Warner had a reason for leaving. He was afraid another year would put him in a wheelchair. He quit. He didn't go to another team. Big difference. When the chips were down, he threw a pass to Fitz and almost won the SB. Where was Dansby during the last drive by Pittsburg?

Warner QUIT. Backed out of a contract. Sure he had a reason for leaving. So did Dansby. One of the reasons Warner quit was because he didn't like the direction the team was going with personnel. That's a shot at your beloved front office.

It's really inconsistent to think its great when the team does what it thinks is best with a player and trades or releases him but terrible when a player does what he thinks is best for him and his family and takes a big contract elsewhere. Understandable though because that's the way fans are.

Where was Warner when Harrison was running 100 yards for a TD with a ball Warner threw right to him in the SB? Yes, after Dansby's INT set the Cards up at the Steelers 34 with a chance to take the lead or at least tie at halftime Warner blew it. That's 14 points Warner cost us. Without that there's no need for any later heroics. Have you ever seen Warner running into the end zone for a game winning TD in the post season? I've seen Dansby do it.

Didn't make a real effort?

There was a deal done; it was announced to the media that the Cardinals and Dansby's agent had reached an agreement. Dansby refused it and fired his agent! The timing of this firing was such that there was no way an agreement would be reached prior to Dansby's second season under the franchise tag.

Contract negotiations are conducted, in almost all cases, between the club's front office and the player's agent, not the player directly. Is it the Cardinals fault Dansby and his agent weren't on the same page?

From my perspective it appears that Dansby was the one that didn't make the effort to reach an agreement!

Obviously, it is well within the player's rights to want to play elsewhere and to take the necessary steps to make that happen. That is exactly what Karlos Dansby did. He didn't want to remain with the Cardinals, simple as that.

I think it's exactly the opposite when it comes to leadership. I want a guy that's vocal all the time, and makes plays when the lights are on and they're needed. Dansby made plays that changed games, and backed it up with leadership on the field. I think that guys like Wilson and Fitz have to be encouraged to take a more vocal role, and that never had to happen with Dansby.

It's widely believed that the poster under the handle Hardy Brown was Ron Wolfley. You can see the hatchet job that Wolfley came on to this board to perform here: http://www.arizonasportsfans.com/vb/f4/big-red-huddle-dansby-76228.html?highlight=huddle

Wolfley said pretty much the exact same things for two years on the air, as well.

best poster ever. Miss you wolf.

All Dansby had to do was make one stop on that last drive by Pittsburg. He was nowhere to be found. Warner made up for his inteception by giving the Cards the lead with a little over 2 minutes to go. All the defense had to do was to keep Pittsburg from marching 80 yards down the field and scoring a TD. A field goal wouldn't win it. They failed and as you and others have said, Dansby was the leader of the defense. He failed.

If Warner hadn't failed, causing a 14 point swing in Pittsburgh's favor, after the leader of the defense gift wrapped a score for him there would have been no need for a 2 minute stop as the Cards would have been too far ahead for the Steelers to catch up.

So why don't you keep posting that you're glad Warner's gone?

Because I'm not. That's your position. I'm just glad Dansby's gone. I'd much rather have Washington and Scho and we might not have drafted either if Dansby was still here.

Let's see. Dansby's last two seasons in Arizona the Cards were 23-14 and won two NFC West titles and an NFC Championship. IN DWashington's last two seasons the Cards are 13-19, losing 15 of 18 games at one point, and finished dead last in the NFC West in 2010.

Of course as soon as Washington or Schofield get released or traded or leave as free agents you'll be on here claiming they never were any good and you're glad they're gone.

Wow. Other than that stretch of losing 15 of 18 the Cards are 10-4. They're a weird franchise.

the better question is this... why in any world would Dansby have kept the Cardinals from drafting Acho (who doesn't play ILB) or drafting Washington considering we're still looking at filling the second ILB spot? we run a 3-4 Defense, heavily dependent on sterling LBing play and we have two good players there... out of 4. If Dansby was still here and we DIDN'T draft those guys, we'd be idiots anyway.

and wait a sec... 40.. you'd rather have Schofield?! He's hasn't proven jack squat on this team yet. that's just ridiculous.
