You are at the same point where I was when I let go of my Season Tickets.

I had 5 seats and had been a season ticket holder for 23 years. My teenage kids no longer wanted to go to the games with me and the wife and I had a hard time finding people wanting to go to the game with me during the Wilks season which was my final year of season tickets.

I was tired of the long drive and fighting to get into the parking lot and through security. Then the fight to get out of the parking lot. Game day ended up being an entire Sunday and I would get home exhausted. I found the food offerings at the stadium Subpar at best. Don't get me started on the beer and cocktail prices.

I decided that as much as I enjoyed being a part of the fan base rooting on the Cardinals that the overall gameday experience wasn't worth my time or money.

Ironically now my kids are both in college and want to go to the games again. I told them to get good grades and a great job out of college. Then buy season tickets to the Cardinals and bring their dad with them when he wants to go. LOL

Recently read an article that this is the case all over the NFL. With huge high def TV sets and much cheaper beer at home, it’s tough to leave the comforts of your home.

I gave mine up years ago and now just buy tickets when we want to go. If it was impossible to get tickets that would be a different story, but they’re pretty easy to come by. And, it’s cool to sit in different spots around the stadium.

I'm in constant communication with my cards rep. They want us paying for renewal now.
Sure, but when is the deadline? They are always going to say they want the renewal now, but you don't have to pay them for some time.

A ton, however it was our granddaughters first trip and amazing memories with our whole family. Wouldn't trade it for anything.
Mehhh plus D-Dogg money ain’t feeling a trip to Disney. Nor season tickets crunch. Baller! :)

D, I would never encourage true fans like yourself to give up the tix. Teams, us included, need to ensure that they don't lose the tried and true of the fanbase. I do hear you on the rising costs and hassle involved. If I was in AZ, promise you'd have no problems having me "give up" my Sundays. If my wife and I decide to move to AZ as we're considering, one of the costs involved will be Cardinals season tickets.

That’s another thing that pisses me off. They are asking for commitment on renewal this week (Jan 8th). They basically want us to commit before they sit on their hands in FA.

While that IS wild, I will say I have to renew my Dbacks season tickets for next season during the current season. I want to say around August they reach out.

He needs rich in laws. They are taking us all to Disneyworld in October for a week and staying at the Animal Kingdom hotel. I legit would never do it otherwise.

117 is my original home of our original 5. We just got 112 this year and they are slightly better, but much more $.

112 doesn't look like they sell better on seatgeek, based on what sells. We like 112, but 117 is probably what we keep if we go the keep 2 route.

Something about the endzone. 112 doesn't have the same vibe. Plus, I have SO many memories in those 117 seats. Playoffs, lots of larry TDs, Calais pregames, my son jumping in my arms on a John Brown TD in the endzone vs Philly, patting Dansbys helmet after the strip/sack/fumble vs green bay, Hightower 2pt conv. I don't want to ever lose 117.

I hate I'm even here, but this is where this team has brought me.
Okay, now I'm gonna have to rewatch! Didn't know you were involved in that melee!

The juice ain't worth the squeeze. The only time I go now is if someone is paying me to go and in nice lower level seats. Otherwise, it's just too much of a commitment on Sundays and the Glendale thing is such a downer.

ours are in the club level-- I goto half the games then give away or sell the others. Always enjoyed the experience, I love the Cardinals games personally. Traffic is my only beef but thats just the way it goes when you are talking about live sports.

Team is looking like a solid ballclub too, we may be on the brink of a nice run here.

Keep two, you wont regret it

I loved our end zone seats, my wife preferred other seating. We gave up our tickets when we got tired of driving 4 hours each way for a game, then going to work on Monday morning. The traffic was a PITA, but there is a lot to be said for the in-stadium experience of an NFL game and the camaraderie of sitting with fellow fans.

We intended to get new season tickets after we retired 4 years ago. Ultimately, we decided if we felt the urge to go to a game we would just shop for tickets and not commit to a long road trip every home game weekend for a whole season.

The Cards moving people out of their seat locations is disturbing. Displacing loyal fans by building the party huts in the end zone was not right.

I voted to stick it out another season, but after reading the whole thread, agree with going down to two.

I haven't had season tickets in a fair amount of years (mainly the whole "I live out of state" thing making it a 16 hour commitment), and ended up buying a few tickets a year up until COVID, where I haven't been back since due to a lot of different life things.

But yeah, even when I lived down there, that drive was atrocious, trying to get anyone to come along was always a struggle, and with how bad the team has been for a protracted amount of time, I'd be much less enthused to put in all the work just to go see a loss.

lol. Spoken like a true local. You sound like most of my friends that live in the valley. Meanwhile, I just got home from the drive down to the game from Abq.

It’s still nfl football and something to do 8 weekends of the year. Even when the cards were awful I loved gameday.
Yup.

Even though I totally understand why Dad gave up his tickets this year after having them since 1988, I will always miss the game day experience. That was a privilege and what became a family event I’ll never look back on in a bad light even when most of the outcomes were worse.

Club level is the only reason I would go but for the cost there are way better experiences out there.

I did season tickets 8 years at SDS starting when we were the Phoenix Cardinals. I have priceless memories. I couldn’t wait for game day in Tempe!

This is the first year I am also contemplating not renewing.
Most of the reason is we have found it harder to come into town for games. Between me and my dad, we used to make it in for 4-6 home games a year and would sell the remaining games to our Phx fiends. Now, my dad is going to be 80 this year and hasn’t been traveling much the last two years.
Also, the season tix benefits keep decreasing and the price keeps going up.
However, We still love coming out for the game weekend. In fact, this last game was the first home win my son has been to in the last 4 years. He was starting to lose interest but he was pumped yesterday.
