A good aspect of Steve being hired before the HC is that he and his head coach will need to be joined at the hip when it comes to determining what kind of players are ideal for the offensive and defensive systems the new HC plans to run (who we should keep, who's expendable, who we should acquire or draft etc.)

Ideally there should be 100% mutual trust and a complete understanding and respect by both parties for how each guy thinks.

Logically, this should be more likely with Keim part of the hiring process.

I would have preferred fresh eyes here, but I'll take a wait and see attitude on Keim.

I have worries, but I am happy.

From what I can gather, Keim seems to be the guy we would want in charge.

Can't say it with any real proof, but since I spend way too much time reading/writing/talking/etc. about the Cardinals, he seems like the guy that has been on point, and even a little held back in what he can do.

I support the move, and hope for the best.

Good job Cardinals, now lets get our coach.

+1.

But, I would say I am a little more optimistic about the situation, but for no real good reason, more than a "hunch".

Looks like Caldwell to Jax. Two weeks ago, a personnel man I respect said the two best out there were Keim and Caldwell.

There's no shortage of Keim praise floating around right now. He might be a much smarter hire than we realize.

Who has final say?

That question deserves its own thread. Bidwill dodged that one hard.

Well one piece of the puzzle has fallen into place.

Next up HC.

Then it will be interesting to see what Keim does with our remaining free agents LSH, Groves and Lenon. I'd like to see all three of those guys back for the right price.

If Bidwill isn't releasing final decision on coaching hires, this whole thing is kind of pointless.

unfortunately, i agree with this too. Having Mikey play Jerry Jones just doesn't make me very hopeful about the future.
