Labeling any 6th or 7th rounder as an enigma is curious-- it implies that there was an obviously better player at the spot that Keim passed on. Without the aid of hindsight, I'm not sure anyone could make that case.

By the time you are drafting the 170th and later player, every player picked has questions about his ability to be an NFL player.

For a 5th round pick? The more the Cardinals win the more fans seem to get a little jaded.

Something like 80% of the players drafted from rounds 4-7 aren't even in the league 3 years in.

If you can fill out your roster with solid role players in those rounds that's a plus. It's unrealistic to think every player you draft should be an all pro.

2 years ago Taylor had all the right circumstances to show what he's got with all the RB injuries, and he couldn't do it. We turned to I drafted players to start at RB. Those 2 guys, by the way, Grice and Kerwin looked good.

Golden and Gunter are home runs? I think that's being incredibly generous.

Both started and played well as rookies. But I understand the small sample size...I probably should have called them early home runs.

Totally agree. Gunter did nothing and Golden did the same thing he did in college: be around the ball alot and chase it down from behind, but rarely make the big play. Golden reminds me of Dockett in his later years.

As for Gunter? What did he do except occupy space?

Keim has missed ALOT on defense. I don't trust his acccumen at all. It's either that or the coaching.

HB and Bucannon say HI! Gunther did his job and this year will show if he is just a guy or something special.

I think Mitch needs two more categories Potential home run and potential enigma especially for the first or second year players. It's too early to tell yet on them but they could have tendencies.

ahh horse puckey - we were 13-3 and have had good records and late draft choices since Keims first draft. Which he was high risk on also! He has secured great FA signings and long term FA contracts on safe bet core players FA every year- then filled the gaps with prove it contracts.

As far as the draft goes - thank stars Badger put the bong down - and keep the rookie off the 2nd floor balcony! Sloagan Thomas the next best thing to burnt toast HAHA

I am scared to think what a Card Scout must do to get a solid pick drafted?

I don't drink, don't break laws, show up everyday on time!

Get the hell on out of here, never seen a Cardinal worth a crap that did that!

I still think we would have won the super bowl if our starting CB ( cant remember his name now) wouldn't have geeked out and tried to play hide the sausage with a NY transvestite - He was the only one who could cover Steve Smith and Antonio Brown!

Sorry offseason thesmelenese coming forth

really?

Thanks Oaken

Last I heard they added Queer back into the GLBTQ national organization, I asked the weekly group at the VA and they said it was eliminated to not offend queer members, then queers lost empowerment, mostly national and worldwide attention due to lack of the use of the word. So they voted it back in the acronym. Intersex is sometimes added for folks who have male and female traits - GLBTQI

still don't remember the CB's name

fan coach hard and slug him later!

Part 1: Offense

Keim has gotten production at WR and RB---but, thus far, underwhelming returns from draftees on the OL, at TE and at QB.

Well, QB is only a 1 piece sample size so it's a little unfair to judge. However, at the time I hated the pick and wanted Zach Mettenberger, who went in the 6th round(I'd still take him as QBOTF) as in the right system Mettenberger can flourish. Also, I think it's greatly premature to call Garoppolo a hit. Just because you make the roster doesn't make you a hit and he hasn't seen the field long enough to be considered a hit. Using that formula, Steve Pisarkiewisz was a hit.

Good points. The ratings were very subjective on my part. Because of how highly valued Garoppolo is by the Pats' coaches, players and fans, the pick seems like a hit to me...but...hey the guy hasn't played enough to know for sure.
