I still maintain he should be the highest paid coach in the world for getting the Cardinals to the Superbowl. ;)

One thing to note is that Major League Baseball Managers don't make near as much money on average as NFL Head Coaches who make almost twice as much on average. So it wouldn't be hard for one of the top paid NFL HCoaches to be ranked higher than every MLB manager.

Don't know how much NHL and NBA coaches make.

Whisenhunt deserves it. He took over one of the most pathetic franchises in sports and took us to a SB. Before him we were a total laughingstock. He's re-defining a culture, re-defining a multi-million dollar industry here. While he's making a "paltry" 5.75 mil, others are making mega-millions off what he's done. Players and peers and superiors alike. Even ad-buy-ins are making more as well as the networks, because of what he's done.

It seems like some people forget the DOOM that used to hang over this franchise. Always expecting to lose, expecting something bad to happen, every game, every week, every year. Do people even comprehend how hard that is to change?

For instance, we all know that guy who's just a loser, a failure, and he may be likeable, but you don't expect much out of him, but imagine him one day just turning it all around and being uber successful. Now multiply that times 1000 and then multiply that X fans of 80,000 or more and you get an idea. It's like a Caterpillar turning into a Butterfly and taking off and you've watched the whole thing and you're like man, that's remarkable, I wonder if it even remembers being a lowly Caterpillar.

That's what he's done for us. I say he's underpaid.

Hmmm did not know that. Thought Harbaugh was given big money but maybe that's me thinking of the Dolphins offer.

Yep, dunno whether you noticed, but the last part of my post was a link to this article that also mentions:
earlier in the week, the Miami Dolphins were reportedly offering Harbaugh around $7 million per year. Although that deal may not have been for the same length as the 49ers offer.

Yeah.. ok.

Without the second coming of Kurt Warner, it's hard to argue he flirts with anything above .500.

I can't think of a single thing Whiz is great at besides his pay?

He was known for his loyalty when we hired him? He has pet frogs he keeps kissing, and they never turn into princes? and really i'm ok with that to a point. If you keep em winning?

The balanced offense with well timed creative trick plays -turned into- creative trick play offense with poor timed balance.

Really? remember that mess of keeping only 2 QB's as a rookie HC in 2007, signing Tim Rattay and Tim hasselback off their couches, Well I don't see that problem fixed- I see it as worse 6 years later?

I'm keeping an open mind as best I can, If he is a great offensive Head Coach, maybe we should climb off the bottom of offensive statistics this year? develop a QB? or field a competent NFL offense without Kurt Warner? a PGC? RGC?

I hope for the best and need to see steady improvement- We have improved and should compete for a wild card spot this year.

He took the Cards to the Super Bowl.

And lost and is 13-19 since including a streak where the Cards lost 15 of 18.

On the other hand he now has a 7-2 streak going.

Which coach is he? We'll see this year. 5-11 (2006) 8-8 (2007) NFC Champions (2008).

We'll expect nothing less. We're not accepting any more lovable losers in Cardinal football land. Sorry Larry C and Wrong Gap Ronny. But times have changed for Cardinal fans these days. Expectations are high Ken get those boys in gear.
