obviously not - I just hope people stay civil with each other if people are proven to be right or wrong.

Maybe it's three years of the Bush Administration, but just because someone (Graves, Mac, Skkorp, nidan) tells you that everything's just fine, it doesn't mean it's so. Look at what's going on with this team, and how that matches to what you've been told all offseason. Is the belly of this team better? Is the pass rush better? Is our secondary one of the best in the league? Is our offensive line dominant?

You are correct sir - It's not all skittles and beer. I've been critical of the lack of signings too. I know and understand your frustration, we all bleed red, but I was referring to the sheer volume of posts from you about this very subject - which BTW, you just added another one to.:D

Hope in one hand....crap in the other LOL

I am getting this sour feeling that my 7-9 prediction was way too optimistic.

Oh is Kerouac responsible for King breaking his toe? It is exactly because of the bind we're in that the organiation deserves criticiszm. They, and not Kerouac, is what is depressing you I think.

I'm trying to stay at least somewhat optomistic about this season and resist the dark side. But you are right, the Cards aren't helping one bit.

Thank God for Boldin, though. I think he's going to take us one one hell of a ride.

When I was in school in the late 60's and early 70's we would shoot it up tape it up and play!!!

I guess guy's today aren't hungery enough. Did you guy'd know that the Green Bay Packer Center of the 60's played with wood pieces in his grouened and still was an All-Pro. Ya!!! the good old day's when men were men and the only agents they new of were selling insurance.

And those guys either died in their 50's and 60's or are in wheel chairs now.

Not that some players today aren't weenies compared to guys like Butkus, Larry Wilson and Nitschke, but there has to be a middle ground.

Northern Card: I only have this to say to you!!! I am not on this site to spell every word correctly only to have fun. But People like you are hard to understand. It must be so great to be so Perfect. I would have loved to play ball against a guy like you.

Here it is plain language; I hope that you can understand this. Guy's of my generation didn't run from hurt pinkies or toes. We just played for the love of the game!!! We didn't have agents, and Lawyers to get us out of trouble.

Allan:stupid: and stupid is Nortern Card. Get a life this is to be fun not ding dong school.

Umm... Green Bay had a problem at one position, and then immediately fixed it with an above-average player.
You guys may be "depressed" or "tired of" what Kerouac is saying, but that's pretty much where things are at.

For several years now , I have watched the Cardinals seem to do all the right things but never quite escape the quagmire for once and for all. The greatest frustration has been in not precisely understanding "what goes wrong."

The contrast between Green Bay's response and our response to a key personnel problem helps make it pretty clear.

Yes. It's suppose to be fun... you might have noticed the smiley in my post, before you went into gibbering hysterics.

P.S. Don't harken back to a time that never really existed. I'm from that generation, with 10 years of Professional hockey experience with stops in Greensboro, Dallas, Chicago and Denver. "Love of the game" is ******** from people who've never been there. We played because that's what we knew how to do; the friendships... and being number 19 in the program and number one in someone's heart, every night. And, believe me... the best thing that ever happened to us was Unions, Lawyers and Agents, who helped put an end to getting screwed by management.

You might have wanted to meet me on the gridiron, but you'd have more than a hurt "pinkie" to deal with if you'd ever met me on ice...

No you would have meat me on the baseball field. I think a 95 mph fastball in your ear would have hurt just as much as a hockey puck off of my head. That is what I was clocked at; and not just once.

But In all fun that is great that you played hockey and you are right about lawyers and agents. As you know and remember in our day the professional teams owned you. You could not move to another team without their permission. Inother words Slavery. Thank god for Kurt Flood. I don't think that most of the younger fan's on this board really understand what we went through.

Agreed....

P.S. - I'm now a lawyer who helped negotiate a few deals for aspiring young hockey players...:D
