after listening whisehunt about what they required from an olb in 3/4 defense..i guess the best pick will be donta hightower..the guy can sheed block and can be a bull rusher and has also very good straight speed .not really agile literally

This is going to make more than a few mad! :hulk:
not me. If Floyd is available at #13, I'd take him over anybody. I'd prefer Reiff over Glenn, who I think our coaches will take sadly. And another badass linebacker would make our D downright terrifying. Which I think will be much easier than making our offense more productive

Hightower would be a great fit for this team, and I think Horton would be a great coach for a player that can play ILB or OLB in a 3-4 at the drop of an offensive audible.

If we are going LB in the first round, then I hope Hightower is the guy. They may get some flack for the pick on draft day, but I am confident, once on the field, Hightower will be looked at as a great pick.

+2 Hightower is the guy I want, if Decastro is off the board.

Totally agree. And I do think this is going to her our guy. Can't help but wonder how Gore would handle a Hightower hit. Not well I think.

I was just referring to who he left out....DeCastro.

Trade back and pick him. McClellin would be fine in a trade back too.

Hightower will still be around on pick 20.

Your probably right, but I'm of the opinion, if we can't trade down we still should take him at 13, the only guy on the list I wouldn't be dissapointed in would be Ingram. At 13 I see Upshaw as a bigger reach then Hightower just because hes not a postional fit.

If this is the case I hope we do that trade down with Philly.

If we go defense in 1st round we need to go offense rest of draft. Need OT, WR, RB (can't count on Williams) QB (if we get pick back I would definitely take a Foles or Osweiler in 3rd) OG and even TE late.

I, for one, will be glad if we don't take DeCastro. While I think he will be a good player, it means we'll be seeing Snyder at RT. As a result, taking DeCastro would be subtraction by addition for our team. I'd rather see a late round pick play RT for us, or Bridges come back. That's how bad Snyder was at the position.

It's a short term "subtraction by addition" at worse. You don't turn away from the guy who is projected as the best guard coming out over the past decade. You fix the RT problem at some point down the road.

There will be RTs available in round 3 who won't be a reach or a 1st round bust. DeCastro is a must pick as far as I am concerned. If he were available and we passed on him, I will be crushed. We need a dang good running game more than anything. We have always needed a stud like DeCastro, and to think we could pass on him is just nuts to me.

ah, gotcha. I doubt he will be around at 13 though. But my favorite choice, Floyd, likely won't either unfortunately

Actually there is a pretty good chance an OG even as good as DeCastro will be there. It's not a premium position. But for us, I'd agree he'd be valuable because of the state of our OL.

From Sommers and Jureki's standpoint's he's not on the radar apparently.

Tell Beannie Wells...just sayin!

Tell him what? that guards arent worth that much? sure. Who cares what wells thinks? if Kolb can actually hit recievers the running game will open up even more. He had over 1k yards with a crap passing gameand a bum knee, whats a guard going to do to fix that? Much better options that high in the draft. We have bigger needs and concerns.

But that need might be an OT as well. Maybe that'll help skittish KK stay in his pocket better.
