He would be a perfect change of pace back for Edge. Still young, fast, explosive.

Slowed by injury. But splitting carries with Edge, at a reasonable price. I see Zero risk, with big upside.

That would open up the draft to bring in much needed Defensive players.

Yes, baby. Let's do it. Three year deal, $2 mill bonus.

So explosive he gets run out of the most RB friendly system in the NFL, can't beat out Jones and eventually sits behind Dockett. Every coach in the NFL seems to agree with Beerz. He has the dropsies, can't block and can't play through injury. No thanks.

Why in the world would we want Kevin Jones? He's not that fast, he's not that powerful, he's never had a particularly good season. How do you figure Jones is that much of an upgrade if any over Shipp or JJ?

I guess I just don't get it, I have never been impressed by Kevin Jones. He would make an ok backup, but our problem is we need a new starter.

What's the point of being young and explosive when you can never get on the field?

Pass like Stockton.

A Running Back recovering from a debilitating foot injury whom his team gave him every opportunity to recover fully. He comes back, and proves what is feared, his speed is lost, and his abilility to cut, juke, and change directions at a speed much faster than you and I has been replaced by the same reflexes of a man 10 years older.

What was once the future, is now released with the other trash.

No Thanks.

I'd rather draft a RB than sign Jones. Yes, I know we could do both. But, I don't think Jones is going to do much of anything, anywhere, ever again. Sometimes I think people just recognize a name and think it would be a good player to sign.

Running Back In The Draft

To me, this means that the Lions who pick right in front of the Cardinals will select a RB in the first round of the Draft. And probably will take Mendenhall. So if we want him we'll have to move up in the Draft. But if Felix Jones is our target, we can stay where we are.

Think he'd be ok as 3rd down back, but doubt he'd be happy with the role/contract. If we sign him as the replacement for Edge that would be stupid.

No matter who Jones signs with , he will go directly to that team's IL list. No thank you.

Graves said we're going to address the RB situation in the draft.
