So far I have only heard it is his head, but that is from the bleacher report so we will see....

Not good. I hope it is nothing serious.

Kevin Kolb has been one tough SOB for this team. Regardless of play.

Rib is better than concussion for Kolb. I'm not playing down the injury at all, but at least you can come back from a rib

Hope it's just ribs for his sake.

But man is he brittle. Watching the play I immediately worried he was hurt. Then rewatching it cheese and I both said, "wow, that doesn't look so bad. If it was any other qb we wouldn't expect them to be hurt.". Is what it is and hope he heals quickly.

those can be pretty bad. We'll see I guess

the O line couldn't protect him before
put him out there with a known rib injury in a flak jacket and its like blood in the water
there will be a feeding frenzy, whats the in game sack record? because we'll break it that is if kolb isn't carried off on a stretcher first,

we will end up riding with skelton for a while if this coaching staff has any sense

you're likely right. It depends on the severity of the injury (hopefully bruise)

but this coaching staff CLEARLY doesn't have much sense. Whiz has STILL kept Grimm on board. And our line has been at the bottom of the NFL throughout. It took the last 2 "games" (Kolb shooting galleries) and the 1st quarter of this one before our genius OC kept him in gun with extra help. Same genius that kept giving the ball to LSH on 1st when he's averaging 2 YPC as opposed to Powell, who's averaging 5+

I don't know 300 pound guys fall on you and crush you into the turf I can see ribs getting hurt.

Also remember the very play before that he made the big run and then got nailed from the side? I was almost wondering if he really got hurt on that one and then the impact of the next one made it worse?

I dont think its so much that he is fragile but that he does not know how to brace himself for hits. You see a lot of QBs kind of duck into the impact and roll up, while Kolb goes down in some awkward ways, or such as today, he probably should have slid... I like the courage of the headfirst dive, but I dont think anyone would advice him to do that when he has about 550+ pounds about to land on him if he dives.

I learned to respect him this year but I agree that he is a bit brittle and I doubt he'll have a long career. But he proved that he has courage, I'd take my money, retire, and lead the life of pretty nice luxury.

one cannot get an idea of a hit's force by just watching. If dude was brittle, he would have been dead by the Miami game. He would have been dead by the Ram game.

Lol @ Kolbs brittle. How many times has he been sacked the past 3 games? 27? I dont want to even know how many hits he has taken.that one hit where he went out might have not looked as bad but its the accumlation of the bumps and bruises that add up.

That play sure looked like a missed handoff by the RB that Kolb then just tried to make "work". Sorry for him.

Hope he is fine.

Brittle?

The guy gets pounded and pounded and pounded and he's brittle?

It's like following a gravel truck. And a piece flies out and hits your windshield. And bam. Chip. And you drive all day looking at that chip being happy it's just a chip. Then you park and come out later and the chip is now a crack in your windshield and when the insurance agent says, "Is it bigger than a dollar bill?" you say, "It's bigger than Wisconsin".

Calling him brittle after he got the stuffing kicked out of him because we have no O line is a ridiculous.

They just talked about it on the NBC postgame. not sure of timetable. The replay sure looked like the tackler put and elbow right into his side as he landed on him.

Yea calling him brittle after the beatings he has taken this year and some pretty nasty hits is kind of ludicrous.
