Game plan to win with #7, Derek Anderson, Max Hall, John Skelton: Run the ball, use play action, keep the ball out of the quarterback's hand in crunch time.

The book is out on you, Kevin Kolb. You can't handle pressure, even when it's not coming. No tackle play is going to keep you from panicking when more than three players cross the line of scrimmage.

But, you know, he's essentially a rookie, he's only had seven weeks in the system, this is the most complicated offense in the NFL, the defense is the most complicated in NFL history, blah blah blah blahblahblahblahblah.

We're 1-3 and all of our most difficult opponents are still ahead of us. The San Francisco 49ers are going to have this division wrapped up in early December.

It sucks because he will be our starting QB for three more seasons because of what we gave up for him.

$10 mill a year for average play???

And who brought him in? Whisenhunt hand-picked Kolb for HIS offense. Whisenhunt runs this show.

Terrible playcalling last year and terrible playcalling this year.

Whisenhunt got his mulligan last year. This year, it is on the head coach.

It will suck more when the Cards will have a real shot at one. Of the top three QB's in this draft and have to pass on drafting one.

Congratulations to the Niners...NFC West Champions for 2011.

Can't put this all on Kolb though. You'd think that we could have had a stop, or two, in the secondary at some point in the 4th quarter.

And before someone brings up the Cruz fiasco, the Cards winning or losing should never hinge on a single play like that. We should have stopped them after that.

you're wrong about SF but Kolb definitely needs to get some pocket presence.

Is this team going to win in Philly? Their defense is light years ahead of ours and their offense is probably about the same, maybe a little better. That's the sad fact of the matter, and I think they have a two-game lead in the division right now.

Kolb

Game one 2TD 0INT
Game two 2TD 1INT
Game three 1 TD 2 INT
Game four 0 TD 1 INT

Guys going the wrong way. Just like our 2nd half defense.

Why not? The dream team is 1-3 and can't stop anyone on defense. You've been pounding on the Redskins as terrible and they're 3-1 in first place and a 2 game lead over Philly.

It will take time for him to adjust. We lost this game as a team even though he did have a mediocre game.

We lack defensive leadership.

I was thinking the same thing but then what if we had a decent and more consistent pass rush? Maybe the secondary wouldn't look quite that bad. Maybe.

Problem is the OTs. Kolb would be a lot better with better protection. He 's running for his life on each play. In any case though, Kolb needs to be a lot quicker finding the open receivers.

Bridges came in. The protection got better. Kolb didn't. That's what really has me concerned.

Our offense stops themselves, so what's the difference? Our offense is suddenly going to get a clutch stop on the road on the east coast in a morning game? C'mon.

Cards are 0-2 against the NFC East so far. Washington's 2-0 against the NFC West. Maybe when Washington plays someone good we'll find out what they're made of.

The St. Louis Rams are awful. I guess it's interesting that all of the people who believed that Kolb would come in and do well are largely the same people who believed that Sam Bradford had proven that he belongs in the NFL.

Even when the protection was there, Kolb was moving too far back or rolling out of the pocket.

Bradford is good, sophomore seasons can be terrible, everyone has tape on you.

I still think he's very good, their schedule is murderous, and their coach isn't the best.

I remember you talking the Rams up as division champs, when I said they didn't have any WR's, because Josh McDaniels made stars out of Brandon Lloyd and Kyle Orton. I'll look it up if you'd like me to.

Kolb play HORRIBLE today. Nuff said.

1. Misses Fitz on a wide open crossing route.

2. Misses TWO wide open receivers for a 1st & goal opportunity.

3. Scrambles out of the pocket WAY too early.

4. Stares down Fitz for a piss poo interception with, at least two guys wide open.

5. Fitz bails his ass out on another horrible throw.

6. Takes a horrible sack at the end of the game.

7. Complete crapola on the last play of the game.

The Cardinals were in this game despite their QB. Really frustrating to watch Kolb play so poorly.

Seriously, what is it? Are all the WR/TE/RB covered that well that Kolb can't throw to them and holds on to the ball, or is it just him wanting to not make a mistake and rather scramble and then throw that ball away. I don't think I have seen a QB throw that ball away that many times in one game.

Eli had enough time to make a sandwich before he threw. No pressure at all when we needed it the most.

Sad to watch teams like the Texans in the early game get after Big Ben and win the game.

Not saying it'll turn out the same but Packers fans were saying the exact same thing when Rodgers first started playing because he didn't play well in the 4th quarter of a few close games.

Eh, let's see what happens as the year goes on and then next season when hopefully there are some changes to the OLine (obviously the OTs), he has significant time in the system, and hopefully we add a legit #2 wideout

Early return, I'm 40/60 on the guy.. I think he throws a nice ball, is pretty accurate, has great leadership... but the leaving the pocket stuff is something I don't think you can really learn..

You're not even saying it's the same thing because Rodgers lit up the scoreboard like a pinball machine when he first started playing--and the Packers didn't give up anything to bring him in, either.

It's not even close to the same thing. It's not that he's not playing well in the 4th quarter; it's that he's getting demonstrably worse as the season goes on. And that he's dreadful in quarters 2 and 3 which takes the entire passing offense off the table.

The defense handed the offense the ball in Giants territory 3 times in the first quarter and we got 6 points out of it!
