Should Phoenix make an attempt at KLove if/when he becomes available?

His defense fits right in with our lack of defense... but his rebounding and scoring would be a great addition.

Maybe he's the "star" we're looking for...

If the Suns had Dragic, I would say "YES" but Love is a terrible fit for Bledsoe. I don't think he'd want to play here anyway.

Yea I think Love likely goes to a playoff team or a team that's close to contention (NOT LAL despite all the rumors) if he leaves Cleveland.

I can't see him leaving the Cavs though. He came there to finally play for a contender and that's exactly what the Cavs have been. After all those years or great stats in Minnesota, I doubt he cares about his numbers and probably cares more about winning now.

Yeah Love is a terrible fit for Bledsoe because ... ?

Brilliant analysis like always.

Fit is not the problem with Love at all.

1/10 bringing Dragic up again.

100 to 1 that is incorrect.

I can see a veteran chasing a ring (Stat) but a guy who still has millions to make, most likely not.

I'm sure he wont take a paycut and I don't think Cleveland will ask him to. They have the money to pay him whatever he wants.

So Love can get BOTH money AND contender. Why would he leave from that?

Yea but Loved hated being the first fiddle and garbage team in Minnesota apparently so I'm sure he doesn't mind being 3rd fiddle to a team that will at the very least make it to the conference finals.

Who IS a good fit for Bledsoe? Bledsoe needs to play the 2, period. He is not a good pg. Maybe in stretches. Hopefully Knight comes back and is our primary 1 guard.

Same thing for Archie. He tried hard to distribute last night, but he is a much better 2 guard.

Wow this team lacks shooters.

So our Suns, whose emphasis has been on star players/big money in the backcourt, lack skilled Point Guards AND skilled Shooting Guards.

Let's see. Whom do we hold accountable for that? As the old saying goes, the nut behind the wheel. :doi:

I've been saying it since he got drafted. The biggest mistake Callpiari made at Kentucky was try and make Goodwin a PG when he simply is not one. He's an off guard, he's a 2 guard.

Though he does have PG skills. Big shooting guard who can handle some PG duties is not easy to find. I do hope the Suns develop Archie. He really needs to work on his shooting. If he can develop a long-range jumper, he will be a scary player.

yeah, nobody is going to mistake him for a pure, pass first, top level point guard, but he's a hell of a lot closer to that than a shooting guard. That's far and away the weakest part of his game… his shooting. I really hope he can improve his shooting. With a decent jump shot he could be a very good player, but surely they've been working on his jump shot for the last year and a half.

Goodwin has the traits to be a hybrid PG/SG.. 1 or 2 as they say... but more recently a "zero".
Somewhere between a John Wall, Westbrook and Bledsoe (taller/longer).

Not saying as good as those guys, but his game traits can replicate what those guys provide.

He is a 2 guard. He is not a pg. He does not have the handles or distribution skills. He can handle the 1 in a pinch but trying to make him a pg will be detrimental to his career and to the team that tries to do it.

Size, length, body type yes, he is a typical SG.
But he drives/penetrates BETTER than spotting up... hence he is a "zero" or a PG/SG type.
Like a Tyreke Evans... who is a SG, but cannot shoot well so plays PG or SF.

C Kosta Koufos, PF Amare Stoudemire, SF KJ McDaniels, PF Thomas Robinson, PF Amir Johnson those are realistic FA targets for the Suns.

The Suns do not have max caproom and even the free agents like Paul Millsap that are just good players are going to be paid with the exploding cap in 2016 there is no reason for Atlanta or Golden State to not go all-in on Millsap or Draymond Green with their bird rights.
