McFarlane says he has a trilogy in mind if all goes well. Says it won't be another origin film.

Weird twist - because of a lawsuit with a real life Al Simmons, the character's name will now be Al Newman.

saw this... looking forward to it... though I might have picked Idris Elba myself. I think it doesnt fit Foxx

Anybody else excited about this reboot? This is one of those franchises that had so much potential but I felt like they completely screwed it up. They just missed the mark on it almost all the way around even though I liked some of the casting.

This is one of those instances where the original was "OK" and I wouldn't mind them taking a crack at making a better version.

Agreed. Spawn had massive potential and just did not do it for me the first go round.
