I need a reason to watch the Suns of late so I have chosen to watch two Suns players primarily, Johnson and Marshall... mainly Marshall. It's a great opportunity to evaluate Marshall play with Dragic out.

Five points, seven rebounds, and three blocks in ten minutes of play for Haddadi.

Rookie is getting destroyed by Thomas though.

It's hard to believe Isaiah Thomas was the 60th pick in the 2011 NBA draft. So much for scouting. There is talent in the draft if a team can find it.

There is also talent out of the draft. Had the Kings passed on Thomas, he was there for anyone to make a deal with.

Thank you Patrick Patterson when the Suns closed it to 7 points.

I remember the time when Avery Johnson went undrafted and he could have been had by anyone. The same with Brad Miller, Robert Pack and many more.

I bet the Suns will regret giving up their second round pick in the 2013 draft for Marcus Morris.

I bet they won't. There's a big difference between knowing that there are good players "still out there" in the second round and knowing who those players are. The fact that players taken late in the draft, or not drafted at all, sometimes pan out just shows further how difficult scouting and talent evaluation are, across the league.

I doubt they will miss the draft pick (although Houston has been excellent finding talent in the 2nd round), but I think they may regret linking the Morris' futures together. Markieff at times looks like he could become a quality backup big while Marcus seems like nothing but an inaccurate long range shooter. It will be interesting to see what happens if they try to dump one and keep the other.

That is an interesting point. If you cut one, do you have to cut both, the same with trades? Its hard enough to make player personnel moves in this league without having two players that have to move as a package.

I believe that the Morris twins are going to be bench rotation players for the Suns for years to come, primarily because there is nothing else much you can do with them, and they will probably be somewhat productive in that role.
