Kings @ Suns Tuesday game thread 2-13-2024

The Suns return home to play the Kings and Pistons in back-to-back games on Tuesday and Wednesday before the All-Star break.

Kings are 30-21. They play at the Mavericks on Sunday.

Phoenix is now 31-22 after losing to the Warriors,

Depends on the Clipps health as always. If all their guys are playing there isn’t a worse matchup for the Suns. They’re deeper, have the best player and better coach.

Depends on the Clipps health as always. If all their guys are playing there isn’t a worse matchup for the Suns. They’re deeper, have the best player and better coach.

It's like when we ripped off the 64 win season, we peaked way too soon and couldn't maintain it in the playoffs. I feel like the Clips are us from that season. They are getting hot way too early before the season ends. If there's any silver lining to our season, is guys are focused because we still haven't figured it all out as a team with all these new players. Hopefully we start to peak right as the offseason starts!

I think we'd absolutely smoke the Kings.

Nugs and Clippers scare me the most. If healthy, I think the Clippers would wreck us. I think the Thunder are a year away from making noise... or at least Giddy either seeing his role reduced or learning how to shoot. In the playoffs guys like him become huge liabilities.

Clipps integrate their big 3 much faster and smoother than we do. But we do have Okogie, Oneale, to a lesser quality Little and Roddy to defend their stronger guys Leonard, PG, Harden, Powell. So, depending how our team play improves, it's not all lost. The same with Thunder. To win we mainly need to contain SGA. As Dunn of the Jazz did it, our Okogie and Saben can also potentially do that. Most difficult matchup is still Nugs who has the most complete complementary starting 5 in NBA.

I normally don't trust them to stay healthy either, but so far this year they have been, and that is all we have to go off. Just assuming they will be injured is not taking the threat they pose seriously.
