Kiper has Levi Brown being drafted 9th overall in his latest mock. He has the Cards sitting tight and taking Gaines Adams over Alan Branch and Jamaal Anderson. He has Okoye going 11th or 12th.

The big story that he's reporting is that he expects Adrian Peterson to put up some mind-boggling numbers at the combine (he said a 4.37 40) and that there will be teams looking to trade to Oakland to get Peterson.

He still has Joe Thomas going 2nd overall to the Lions. The Lions are in a tough spot because I think they'd like to trade down of the Raiders take Jamarcus Russell, but they can't go far because they'd want Thomas or Peterson, who would be taken by us or Cleveland. Would they be willing to switch places with Tampa depending on the result of the coin flip?

I'm assuming you meant Levi Brown, not Levi Jones. Most Penn St. fans all say that Brown has serious intensity and drive issues. That really bothers me, especially with offensive lineman

Yeah. I fixed it. That's going to confuse me right up until the draft. And then after. I hope he gets drafted by the Bengals so that I can see the headline, "Cats look good in their new pair of Levis."

Reminds me a bit of BIG in that sense.

Adams would be the last of the 3 (Branch, Anderson, and Adams) I would take. Jamaal is not going to be there after he works out before the draft. I can see him going to the Lions and Branch to the Browns as well.

I would think that if QB B Quinn is on the board at #5, someone may get QB panic and trade up with the Cardinals.

I'm starting to get on the "trade down" bandwagon myself but only if Joe Thomas is gone at our our pick. While Anderson, Gaines, and Branch are intruiging the thought of possiby having 3 picks before round 2 is over is hard to turn down. We could get a solid RB, OL, and CB with those 3 picks if we could get a desperate team to swap 1st's and give up their 2nd for our 5th pick. I'll wait till after the combine to see how everything shakes out but I think the option of trading down should be at least discussed.

It seems more and more like Russel, Thomas, Peterson, and one of the 3 DL (Anderson, Adams, Branch) will be gone by the time we pick so a team wanting Quinn may jump at our pick. Then it comes down to whether we want to draft a guy like one of the 3 DL mentioned above, Marshawn Lynch, Tedd Ginn, or trade down. If we traded down we could draft either Reggie Nelson, Lynch, Ginn, Hughes, etc.. and possibly get another 2nd rounder.

When is the coin flip? I thought that was already done.

We could trade down as far as #12 (Buf.) but no further. #8 - Hou. or #9 Miami would be preferable, as I don;'t think the teams who pick after the 5 slot would go for a DB. Then we could pu Landry b-4 the Falcolns pick. Anyhow , I discussed this on another thread. If we do trade down only those few spots, we'd MTL pick up in addition to the 1st, a high 3rd round pick.
