Kiper is making a bold statement...

He is grading both Palmer and Leftwich higher than Harrington and Carr.

Does anyone think this is more "This is the best guy ever" from Kiper or do you honestly feel that Palmer and Leftwich are better than the big two last year.

My bet is out of the 4, Harrington and Leftwich will prove to be the most productive QBs.

the b.s. is really flying from the teams and experts as we get closer to the draft.. the ourlads.com guy on kdus yesterday said it would not shock him if no one in the top 10 took a qb..seems teams feel like each of the top qb has question marks and may gamble on a guy they want falling to them...

I would bet him

A position in his company that both Leftwich and Palmer will be gone by the 10th pick.

If either of them slide to the Cardinals, I am willing to bet the phones will be ringing.

Not only is Leftwich better than those 2,he is the best to come along since Bledsoe.THat's why you take him no matter what if he's there at 6.And,he may be better than Bledsoe.

Even tho I would rather go Defense at #6 I have to agree we would have no choice but to take him, or atleast take alot of trade offers...

I don't think he's necessarily wrong. Harrington was rated a 2nd rounder going into the bowl game last year, hell some had him in round 2 after the bowl game. Carr was nowhere near the top player before his senior year, both guys came out with big years and vaulted to the top.

Palmer was touted from day 1 and Leftwich would have been a high first rounder last year too.

Pay attention, people! We have our QB of the future, and, like it or not, his name is Josh McCown. They said it when we drafted him as the 3rd QB off the board last year, and they said it the day that we signed Blake.

I give you my Kerouac 9's LOCK OF THE DRAFT: We will not draft a QB in the first four rounds. You can take that to the bank. Maybe next year, if McCown looks like the next Gio Carmazzi, but not this year.

OK but to be fair who didn't? Most draft experts had Leaf rated right where he was picked, some had him better than Manning(I thought he'd ultimately be better than Manning).

Nobody predicted the injuries but there was the guy who did the brain typing thing and said Leaf would be a colossal bust, for the most part I don't recall anybody else coming out and knocking Leaf prior to the draft. So Kiper was wrong but so was virtually everyone else on Leaf, that's why he's such a colossal bust.

Okay I have had enough

Kerouac, go **** yourself.

This isn't a "Who will the Cardinals draft" thread

This is, "Do you agree with Kiper" thread.

Your stupid repeated quote doesn't add to the conversation in the slightest. In fact, you don't post anything else anymore, just this same stupid b.s.

So as long as you are going to act like a ****ing troll, you will be treated as such. Since you want to post on every thread your rediculous "lock of the draft", you can expect me to tell you to **** yourself shortly there after.

I am a long way from thinking Mccown is our QB of the future. That is like saying Jake is the next Joe Montana. As of today he has shown zilch. Let us start by saying is on the team and may be #2 or may be #3 this year.

Chris, why are you so upset? If it causes you so much pain to read my posts, simply don't read them. If you see "kerouac9" in the margin of a post, simply scroll past it. I do this with Section 11's posts all the time. Save yourself some stress, man. I posted that because someone said that Leftwich is better than Bledsoe (by the way, what has he done in the past five years or so? He's not a Top 5 QB anymore, and might not be in the Top 10. The definate comparison is in brittleness, and I think the consensus is that Leftwich is far more brittle than Drew), and that we have to draft him. I have yet to hear a cogent argument about why the Cardinals might need another QB of the future right now, when a "can't miss" QB prospect for the Top 5 comes out every single year. Usually 2. Also, there's no "e" in "ridiculous."

I'm not saying that Josh is our QB of the future, John H. What I'm saying is that that's his role right now, as Chad Pennington was the QB of the Future for three seasons in New York, as Daunte Culpepper was the QB of the Future for the season he sat out while Brad Johnson or whoever was starting after he was drafted in Round 1, as Donnie McNabb was the QB of the Future in Philly for the season that Doug Peterson was starting after Donnie was taken in the Top 10, as Carmazzi was suppsosed to be when he was drafted, but before the meteoric rise of Jeff Garcia (point of order: I'm not sure if meteors can rise, but I think that's the figure of speech, for whatever reason). You can't have two of them, and if the Cards weren't sure that McCown could step up his game, they shouldn't have drafted him. If they think he can, they should give him one more year to elevate his game and show that he can play on the pro level.

Kiper reminds me of one of those pro-wrestlers that aren't at all good, but have a huge downside contract and HAVE to be pushed constantly to justify the huge contract. I would make the analogy with a real pro-athelete, but I don't feel he's deserving.

He's a slickster, and snake-oil salesman, the dude is Dick Vitalle on both uppers and downers!

He is only right half the time! The only reason I watch ESPN draft coverage is because:

1) They are the only network to cover it ALL!

and

2) I love to listen to Thiesman stick is foot in his mouth, in Berman's mouth, hell, in everyone's mouth at some point!

Kiper is a used-car salesman who would be better served if he signed with the Falcons for league minimum!

Oh, and Mr. kerouac9 (if that is your real name!)

You keep posting whatever you want! I'm a huge proponent of free speech and the right to choose. If you don't like it, don't read it!

Hey kerouac, I think we should draft Leftwich at #6, what do you have to say to that!?!?:D

Way to pull the football away at the last second, ala Lucy on Peanuts! I was hoping you would post your classic cut-&-paste statement!

UUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUGGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!

THUD!

Oh well, for the record, I would like the Cards to draft Suggs (if available) or Trufant at #6...
