Kiper has his first mock up and there is one big thing of note. He has no QB's going in the first round. None at all. Not Smith, not Barkley, not Wilson, nobody. He said he does expect a couple of them to rise, but most teams are very lukewarm on this year's group.

http://insider.espn.go.com/nfl/draf...701/2013-nfl-draft-mel-kiper-first-mock-draft

It's insider so I can't post it all, but here's his top 7.

1. Chiefs - Luke Joeckel OT
2. Jags - Damontre Moore DE
3. Raiders - Star Lotulelei DT
4. Eagles - Dee Milliner CB
5. Lions - Jarvis Jones LB
6. Browns - Bjoern Werner DE
7. Cards - Chance Warmack OG

Analysis: We haven't seen a true guard land in the top 10 since 1997, but roll the tape on Warmack and it's hard to see how he doesn't end the streak. As a run-blocker, this guy improves what you can do in that area the second he steps on the field. In a word, he's dominant. Arizona's pass protection was a disaster early in the season, but very quietly they may have found answers at tackle in Bobby Massie and Nate Potter, who both played much better late in the year. Add Warmack, and you have a young offensive line that could make huge strides in 2013. Obviously, Arizona could be in the market for a QB here, but free agency (or a trade) could fill that void before April.

I love the pick. However we will have to see how the QBs look as we get closer to the Draft. If a QB starts to stand out then I think he becomes a priority over a stud Guard.

I would be ecstatic with the Warmack pick. It's high for a guard but the Cards are a special case. They desperately need him.

I really like the idea of Warmack, but not if Geno Smith is still on the board. There are going to be good interior lineman still available in rounds 2-4 and it just seems silly to pass on the best QB in the draft for a guard IMO.

For all the Gino Smith love I was surprised at his 4.95 40 time. We'll see how he improves at combine but with Kaepernick and Wilson at 4.5 I was hoping for someone a bit more dynamic.

Just look at the high draft picks playing offensive line in Seattle and San Francisco, then do the right thing and run to the podium with the card bearing the name of our All-Pro left guard Chance Warmack {if he makes it to #7}.

Other things to note:

Barret Jones doesn't go in Kipers first round. And he is the #2 Center on his board behind Travis Frederick from Wisconsin.

He has Glennon #1 at QB, with Barkley, Smith, Wilson and Nassib following behind.

He has Lattimore (3) ahead of Lacey (4) even with the injury.

Sando's take: Quarterback clearly must be Arizona's priority this offseason. Teams have traditionally found the best ones in the first round. Division rivals San Francisco and Seattle bucked convention by finding franchise QBs later in the draft. Perhaps Arizona can do the same. The offensive line is another need area, of course. The Cardinals have neglected their line in the draft for too long. They drafted seven offensive linemen during Ken Whisenhunt's six-year tenure as head coach. That was right near the NFL average, but the figure was zero for 2010 and 2011. Arizona drafted zero offensive linemen in the first three rounds of its final five drafts under Whisenhunt. Tennessee was the only other team with none during that time. Massie and Potter did improve as the season progressed. Two of the team's more dependable veterans, Lyle Sendlein and Levi Brown, are coming off season-ending surgeries. While the team overpaid for guard Adam Snyder in free agency one year ago, the veteran does have value for his versatility. Arizona's new general manger, Steve Keim, played on the offensive line at North Carolina State years ago. I would think he'll place more value on the position than the Cardinals have recently. Note that the Seahawks and 49ers placed four highly drafted offensive linemen in the Pro Bowl this season.

His low 40 time is 4.76 and I wouldn't be shocked if his time drops a little before the combine because he should spend some time specifically trying to get that time down. Running form alone is really important to a low 40 time as well as making sure you get off the blocks as fast as possible. That being said Geno obviously isn't going to be a Kaepernick or Wilson type QB, but as long as he can hit his open targets than I don't really care if he can make big plays with his feet or not.

Love the Warmack pick. Also get the Buffalo Guard in FA, and then this O line is something to work with. If Potter and Massie continue to progress, Brown needs to be moved inside as well.

Brown will compete with Potter at LT. Adding much needed depth.

Warmack is my pick. Fix the line number one priority. And it would still be BPA.

I'd still want to take Geno Smith here, but I'd walk away extremely happy with Warmack.

I am not buying it one bit. I won't believe the Cardinals drafting a G with the number 7 pick until I see it. In case you don't remember, we had David DeCastro available to us last season. We passed on him and we will pass on Warmack. It's QB or T with the first pick.

I've been wondering where all the posters were who believed Michael Floyd was the right pick last year over DeCastro...among others.

Knowing the Cards their first round pick will be Montee Ball or Tavon Austin.

Keim as GM=SEC Draft= Wilson or Warmack in first round. Keim being an O-Lineman=Warmack.

Levi's salary shoots up this coming season. Maybe he'll get 1 more year before he's released.

I wasn't a fan of the Floyd pick and wanted Ingram. I think alot of us overrated DeCastro a bit and he's not nearly as good a player as Warmack.

My wildcard pick for the Cards is Vaccaro. He's very good and safeties have been gettng drafted higher and higher. It fill a need and I think Vaccaro is better than Mark Barron who went to TB in about the same spot.

IMO, Chance Warmack versus Justin Smith > Daryn Colledge versus Justin Smith. I rest my case. :bhiich:

We also need to fix Center in the second or third round. Plug in an Alex Mack or Kalil type in the second round with Jones (if available) and fix it once and for all. Sendlein has no business in the NFL. People don't notice how bad he is because they pay attention to the edges. Sendlein has been a cancer for this team for the past several years.
